It's insane how casually the calls to end a genocide, not just the students in Columbia University but pro Palestinian views in general, are labelled as terrorists. The audacity to still publicly support Israel's actions even after the horrific bombings these last months and then turn around to say that the ones who oppose it are violent anti semites is just baffling

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

I think it has just always been easier for people to look at things that do not scare them, i.e. university students protesting in tents, rather than see the real, unsettling, horrific, true images coming out of Gaza and internalise them as a REAL event that is happening to REAL people.

I'm gonna try to keep this brief because I already have a post about this that's gotten like 1,000 notes, I just haven't met this goal and need to soon.

I have been having seizures, and I have a GP appt to get referred to a neurologist. I have been speaking to the clinic system handling my care, and I should be put on a cancelation list as soon as my referral is received. Because of this, I ideally would have the funds for the neurologist appointment by the time they get my referral. That way if someone cancels, and they call me with an hours notice to get to that appt, I will be able to actually make the appt. Currently I need $385 for this.

I am grateful the clinic is willing to rush this appointment. They did this with my roommate last year, and it saved his life. But based on our experience with that, I am stressed about getting the money in time.

A mass grave with nearly 300 bodies has been uncovered at a hospital in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, Gaza Civil Defense workers said Monday, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area earlier this month. Col. Yamen Abu Suleiman, Director of Civil Defense in Khan Younis told CNN Monday that “today, 73 bodies were recovered” in the courtyard at the Nasser Medical Complex which brought the “total number to 283.” Suleiman alleged that some of the bodies had been found with hands and feet tied, “and there were signs of field executions. We do not know if they were buried alive or executed. Most of the bodies are decomposed.”

The Gazan media office says there are an estimated 700 bodies expected to be found in the hospital
