I am incredibly excited to show off a feature I have been working on the last two days!!!
youtube
It's... the coolest thing I've ever done and I am so genuinely proud of myself for figuring this out and making it work. Camp Willowpeak is allowing me to spread my wings and expand my coding repertoire.
Thank you so much @campwillowpeak for allowing me to work on your incredible game and bring your ideas to life.
I've been discoverning a new hobby lately: making playlists on stuff I liked, so made some Touchstarved playlists based on the main cast. <3
Maybe I'll share the link there someday (they're all public tho, so I guess you can easily find them). Yes I will make a Vere one, I am just not that inspired for him so he's gonna have to wait until I am done with Mhin's playlist. TT
and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left
ahahah i just saw someone mentioned that sydney is a goat and i like that idea.
oh yea i never made sydney in black hair, even tho im always going for the fallen route (i just really like the sound strawberry blonde) so like the black hair version igues (this time it felt more fitting too)
Honestly. The Alchemist had so much going on, and the Hound even gets to identify why Ais feels like a leader and also has that moment with Mhin where they silently comment on his skills being impressive because not a lot of people can sneak up on us.
I at least thought the Unnamed would be able to notice stuff like Vere stealing the key or sensing the Soulless that hunts us later on, but I guess the problem with having a psychic MC in a linear demo is that nothing we sense is allowed to alter the story that much. Maybe in the main game we'll be able to decide whether to listen to our premonitions or not, but for now the story needs to get from A to B so our psychic visions can't help us circumvent the plot.
Ranking Touchstarved MC Origins
The Alchemist
Easily the most flavorful. Their background and education affects word choice in even basic scenes and can elevate the horror of the more intense scenes like seeing the red-eyed woman's scar. Plus with their addition knowledge about the Sonobium they seem the most in control and like they actually understand what's going on. Also gives good character insight ex: Every origin thinks Leander is an impressive mage, but the Alchemist actually explains why they think that, is the only origin that made me as the reader impressed with Leander's abilities.
2. The Hound
While a lot of their flavor text is subtler, it's till definitely there. Especially with how they're to most comfortable around other people and understand how they work. Every origin thinks it's weird that Ais is described as a gang leader but is by himself. Only the Hound realizes that something happened to cause Ais to be alone and so their confusion and curiosity is more poignant.
3. The Unnamed
Maybe it's because they're obviously the most sheltered, but I was really disappointed lack of insights they had about the various love interests. Like there's a line about Kuras seeming familiar, but at least in the demo that's not really elaborated on. For the most part their flavor text is just extra spooky vibes about the environment that blend in with the normal narration and end up kinda forgettable because of the MC's tendency to be dismissive of the more supernatural happenings. A habit that's more annoying with the Unnamed than other origins since being psychic is supposed to be this origin's unique ability. If the origins get unique character arcs I hope theirs is being more confident in themself and their ability.
“ What a better way to celebrate a birthday than with a fun game of laser tag? It’s a party under the ultraviolet lights, and Jack and Artemis are ready to be the best team on the field! There’s nothing that can separate them, but uh… Jack? Why is your vest red? ”
Catch another glowing special episode of Sunnyverse on March 9th, Saturday morning at 9:30/8:30 central, and don’t forget to say Happy Birthday, Artemis! ★

Hey space crew! Thanks for opening the captain’s log. ★
Man, it’s been a while since a post, yeah? I hit that classic burnout stage. Got lost in the universe burnout for a long while and couldn’t draw much for months. I am alright, but what a crash >>.
This drawing was started on 1/21 and was supposed to come out for my birthday (1/23). I turned 22! Finally big big goober age and still very silly! ☆ But uh, I missed that deadline, haha. I spent a good extra 2 months on it by accident. Working on and off over the course of multiple days, working in general, wehhhhhhah.
Told myself to get it done by Artie’s birthday (3/9) too, and then well, missed that too! Sheeeesh. But it’s done now and I quite enjoy the outcome for what it’s worth. I hope you all do too!
Artie’s hair took so long to shade… I want to shave them bald. Jk. Partially…

This “episode” focuses on well, a laser tag party! Jack isn’t the type to be extra competitive usually, but he was over the sun excited to be on the same team as Artemis. The two had a game plan: blue team will reign supreme! Watch my back! <3
Except for when the game started, Jack’s vest lit up in the enemies color. Accidental traitor. Maybe he could ask the referees to pause the game so he could swap— oh! Artie just zapped him and ran off.
Suddenly, Jack is extremely good at this game.
(advertising works as episode promotions is very fun. :3)
