I saw you like sapphic stories and Hozier and I've just gotta ask you: have you heard of Burn the House Down by Kenna Jenkins? It's an alternate history novel abt the 1st woman president and her secret sapphic relationship/bearded marriage with her mlm best friend and has massive Hozier vibes (especially Nina Cried Power, Take Me To Church, Arsonist's Lullaby, The Wages, Better Love, Moment's Silence, and Nobody). It also has a subplot about arson at the White House, a pro-choice subplot with strong Swan Upon Leda energy, and ft. an entirely queer main cast and really fleshed out characters!

Since I was last really active on tumblr, I’ve written another novel, which is sort of wild to think about.

Since November I’ve been knee deep in a contemporary queer friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance between a photographer and her childhood sweetheart, who now happens to be a huge rockstar. It’s dramatic, funny, heartfelt and just a bit smutty and it’s really about Saoirse, our main character, finding herself again.

I’m about to query it with some agents and publishers, so some good vibes from my fandom friends would be well appreciated!

In fandom terms, I’m working on a long-ish fic (probably around 30k) for Remus Lupin Fest, and I’ve got a sequel to In the Throes of You in the works!

71. Would your life make a good play?

Probably not. A lot of my life has been defined by fighting my mental illnesses, and some person crying on stage for 2 hours until they take lamictol doesn’t seem very entertaining?? That said, it could maybe work as a musical. I’m a choral singer and fell in love with a fellow singer so following that plotline would be a hell of a lot more interesting. (I may or may not have fantasized about being able to sing broadway-style duets with my partner during my entire childhood.) But if you try to isolate the non-singing parts of my life… really not all that engaging

83. Given the chance to live your life on Mars, with no hope of returning to Earth but with the promise of scientific discovery and glory, would you take it?

Absolutely not! I’m studying math/engineering for a reason: I literally hate scientific research SO much. It drives me insane. I wanna DO things, not observe things. Also the people I love are on Earth and I love our planet so much. I can’t think of a single reason I would leave by choice
