Hope, renewal, healing, but also despair, those are the major meanings of the Star. As the youngest member of the Lodge, Triss matches those traits. She is a force to be reckoned with as a matter of personal healing (mostly her scars due to the battle of Sodden Hill), and never loses hopes regarding Ciri’s safety or the future of magic. Although those hopes can also be blinding and leads her to do some very stupid things (namely, betraying Yennefer, Geralt and Ciri, WELL DONE TRISS). But even if she was definitely a traitor to me in the books, we can’t brush away the fact that she’s probably still very influenceable, especially by older Lodge members like Philippa who would ensure her future in the mages world (I’m deeply convinced that Philippa did manipulate Triss at some point, maybe even did some emotional blackmail of sorts by seducing her, or having a twisted romantic/teacher-student relationship). And honestly, she gained more of my sympathy in the third game by trying to smuggle mages out of Novigrad. So yes, as a figure of hope, Triss isn’t half bad. 

I chose to draw her alternative outfit from TW3, much more into the sorceress/priestess vibe. Also, the books never depicted her as a redhead but I also liked it in the games, so I settled for a softer tone halfway between ginger and chestnut.
