really strange how you can be almost at peace with something that happened to you but it will continue to be a defining moment of your life for the rest of your life. you wont think about it much anymore but in a conversation about a film someone will mention the year it was released and you’ll think to yourself, “that was before it happened” and you’ll see an old photo and think how strange it is to have existed before it happened and somehow it’s like living a life in two acts

wow i have not had writer's block this bad in ages

#hello i will be using this space to rubber ducky my way out of this #basically i was able to suss out that there was something missing to the chapter and i couldn't figure out what #that is until i was running today and it hit me like a fucking brick: the chain have nothing to do #not like in a doing something around the house sense but... like... plot wise they're kinda just there #like I have this whole plan for how to solve the war stuff and warriors and spirit and time's whole deal but everyone else is kinda... #just there. I have scenes planned to wrap up some of their subplots but there really isn't a sense that they need to actually be here for #the resolution of the story. and i can't just send them out of here so i gotta make them significant again #and they should be significant because it's the mother fucking chain. they're kinda the reason people read this stupid story #so the big question is HOW are they going to be a necessary component for the rest of the story #like the easy solution would be to just have them go rogue and do some shit #but they aren't at the point where they could do that. i also don't want to give them something that they can do independent of warriors #cause then they would have to be doing things off screen which doesn't actually solve the problem #i KNOW there is a reason why they have to be here-- hi an idea just hit me that is a little insane but it might actually work #i just need to simmer on it for a hot minute #ok i sat with the idea for a few minutes and i like it. #it's a little evil BUT it's taking control away from wars and i kinda want him to have control over this #but then if characters don't act as independent agents then wars machinations won't be significant #I will ponder this more #and this has been rubber duckying in the tags #me rambling
