hi, so i'm like super confused and scared, im new to the idea and concept and - well, erm, everything to do with kins and kinning and i'm just wondering how do you know if you're kinning someone? im a baby. haha.i don't want to kin anything but i've been reading about it and it fits how i feel perfectly and i feel like i dont have a choice.

it's alright! fictionkin particularly is different for everyone. some people believe that they are a version of a character via a multiverse theory where fictional universes that have been implemented as media or made up in the head of any person. that one's more complex. some people also kin characters to cope with things going on in their lives - where they're so attatched to a character and project on them so much that the character has become a key part of their identity and sense of being, and it's different from relating to a character. both can involve shifts where someone is particularly feeling or showing the traits of a/the character they are kin with.

for otherkin, nearly everyone takes "kin" as referring to a creature/person that they were in another life, but fictionkin gets a bit more complicated and convoluted in explanations. some fictionkin are also linked with this, believing that their "spirit" is linked with or a reincarnation of a character that either died in the source material or whose source has ended. this usually makes for fewer, more stronger kintypes.

but i'm not sure if you need this anymore since you seem to have confirmed junko as a kintype already. :^)
