" the time we have spent together today has been ... nice , " shenhe began , hesitating slightly not because her statement was untrue , but more because she found it hard to believe that she'd managed to find someone so relaxing to be around . oftentimes she disliked being around others , for the beast of calamity that slept in her soul would wake and rattle the bars of its cage , desperately longing to see blood spilled . she felt it's restlessness tolerable when around ahri , a welcomed surprise indeed that gave her an opportunity to enjoy herself for once .
even as the rain began to fall whilst they made their way through the forest , shenhe found herself at ease . walking side by side , only once in a while did they share their thoughts , mostly choosing the time to enjoy the stroll in comfortable silence .
it's only when they arrived together at the borders of ahri's home that they stopped in their tracks and choose to break the quiet .
