officially 7 days until the movers come
today I got rid of everything off the balcony, took down my things from the walls, and I thought I would try to clean up the bath area before hopping in the shower, where everything went downhill..
the bath has this batfuck stupid set up where the tub is installed behind this sort of panel that can pull out, and upon pulling out that panel I was greeted with a veritable cave of the blackest mold sludge hell I have ever seen. I had no idea what to do. I had to keep taking breaks to fuckin freak out but I eventually actually cleaned out what I could reach (which wasn't everything!) and put everything back together. I can't explain how overwhelmed I was trying to get that cleaned and realizing i have no idea how to deal with that kind of problem... and that I didn't even realize that was a problem that needed to be cared for...
I felt so fucking dirty and disgusted
from day fucking one I had already realized this apartment was a terribly designed cash grab for whatever fuck scumbag owns this building (who demanded photos of us from the real estate office? the fuck) the shoe closet doesn't actually fit shoes and can't close, the washlet in the bathroom never worked properly nor did the technology in the ofuro, the sun doesn't reach the balcony to dry clothes and the dumbfuck bath is a mold trap. the bedroom aircon stopped working last week and I cannot get out of this piece of shit building fast enough.
fuck this building and fuck phoenix kanri, they're fuckin thugs and never ever rent from them
I had given up on getting a fresh start out of this apartment, but it's actually going to happen and I'm scared I'm going to fail at it, but determined to make a better living in the new room.
still packing and packing and I wish I got rid of more..
keys the day after tomorrow. I have to work tomorrow but I took the day off for key/set up day. then after that I have one more real day off before we move.

its september!
today the boxes from the moving company arrived. the price ended up being about 20,000 yen less than we expected it to be which is nice ☺ i think we got a good deal. we had originally made reservations for two companies to come and check the place so we could compare prices, but when we mentioned that to the first company he offered to give us a discount if we canceled the other company. we didnt know they would do that so.. i recommend trying that if u are moving lol.
so from now i can start packing things up slowly and continue getting rid of things in the process. i think i hav sold most things that can b sold at this point..
i also ordered some stick on wallpaper to put on the walls so they hopefully don't get destroyed like the current place. it was on sale so i think we got a good deal on that too..
i got an incognito pet carrier for giru! so i will get rid of my other one.
two weeks until we get the keys and three weeks until we move!
to do:
-start packing, out of season clothes and cds etc first
-next monday take giru for his checkup, shots and ask if the dr knows any good vets in the area we're moving to
-order rugs to cover tatami
-next-next tuesday get the keys, put up wall paper, put down rugs
-dont panic
maybe ok.
now get ready to go to tokyo for allen birthday!

still too early
trying to stop clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth so ill write ☆
tomorrow two moving companies are coming to asses the stuff we wanna bring into the new place and get price estimates. after that i need to go to the bank and set up the rent payments.
feeling a little impatient about the things i cant do yet, like pack and actually get back into the room to measure things and try to visualize.
little by little im still getting rid of things. bruh is there anything harder than throwing away plushies n shit
it seems like the move out notification can be done online in my current city, but it can't be done online in the new city, does that mean i still need to get all the paperwork manually then... hm
for some reason also looking into the next procedure for visa renewal, stop it, that is not until winter
completed gym membership withdrawal
eating my second ice cream of the day and my jaw is cracking
sleep

Contract
on saturday night i went to tokyo by night bus to see kirito live, and on monday morning i came back by night bus too, took a shower, and went with my husband to sign the contact for the new place.
it was quite easy and the staff were nice. we paid our deposit.
so i guess it's really happening!
my husband is the person with the contract for our current apartment, so he contacted them to inform them of us moving out. we both have had horrible experiences with this company, so i am worried sick about dealing with them about anything, but it seems like my husband will be the one to deal with the room check this time around, and i am so grateful for that.
if it all goes to plan, we will get the keys next month and move out of this room a week later, the room check happening a few days after that. i hope i have enough time. once we get the keys, we have to protect the walls (wallpaper sheets) and the tatami (rug) before moving, and after moving i have to clean the now furnitureless room for inspection. i almost dont see the point because the room has been so damaged in our 5 years of living here, and so much sucked from the getgo... whatever i guess ill do what i can and not worry too much because theyre going to fuck me over with fees no matter what i do.
so we need wallpaper sheets, rugs, a new washing machine (ours won't fit in the new apartment), futons.. things for giru to scratch.. and later, air conditioners ☹
it will be super costly..
but the only way out is through..
i will ask around about futons, air conditioners and other appliances, i really hope we don't have to buy everything new, i really need help. i am still worried about if our neighbors in the building will be good people.. i wish id had more time to spy a little more, lol...
two weeks from now i will go back to tokyo for my last concert before moving, im 99% sure i am cancelling my christmas concert plans, and i am trying to stay calm.
oh yeah, and i tried for the second time to buy a nicer case for my hanko and it was too small yet again when does the pain end

New Beginning
i'm starting this blog as my husband and i prepare to move! i want to keep my thoughts straight, keep notes of the progress, and have a place to panic when that inevitably happens.
it's thursday, august 7th now. last monday we went to the rental office to check out some rooms in a housing complex that is much more affordable than where we're living now. we have lived here together since 2017, and we have never truly been comfortable living here- there were a bunch of shitty circumstances and decisions that led to feeling stuck here, but hopefully now, we are finally going to be able to get out of this apartment. paying more than 120,000 yen each month to live in a place you hate sucks.
next monday we're going to go to the main office and submit an application for the room we viewed. i really hope i am approved. i have so much that i'm worried about.. getting approved, what the neighbors would be like, packing, cleaning, buying furniture appliances, phone calls, and so much more. but i want to leave this apartment so badly. we need to. and the only way to leave this apartment is... to leave the apartment! the only way out is through, right. one step at a time.
yesterday i sold a bunch of things like figures, trying to downsize as much as i can in preparation to move. today i have a couple more things to send, and then i will put some more items up for sale as i go through my things. luckily i am on summer vacation until next tuesday.
i really hope this all works out.
