I love it when fandragons are just really really specific. I'll see a dragon in someone's fandragon tab and go "oh I don't recognize this one what are they from" and then they're like an unnamed side character that showed up in exactly 3 episodes of an obscure show that got cancelled in the 80s. and yet they managed to have a profound effect on this one person's psyche. incredible.

Imagine being a gaoler with a lot of fae buddies.

Big horns/antlers? The perfect perching spot. All of their fae buddies can gossip and catch up while the gaoler goes about their business

Big fluffy fur? Hiding spot. The gaoler never needs to sit through a boring meeting again because they can have a fae hidden in the fur by their ear keeping them company.

Also, the visual of a gaoler unleashing a plague of fae akin to a plague of locusts from their fur is such a funny visual.

So I know people are gonna be complaining about no zombie hatchling skins and I’m pretty disappointed about that too, but, can we all agree that the most important thing to push back on is the censorship of scars. The thing that isn’t just disappointing and annoying, but actually ableist and that people with more obvious scarring (e.g. burn survivors) have been talking about how other media censoring them or treating them like they’re frightening or “adult content” affects them for a while now. The fact that something reflecting an uncontrollable aspect of how real-life people, including children, appear is being put under the category of “content we don’t want displayed or communicated via our hatchlings.” The fact that healed scars are being put in the same “content” category as ACTIVE WOUNDS.

so i was rambling about my ideas for my lore to my memaw, as one does. she of course doesn't really get flight rising other than its "pictures of dragons website", but she likes to hear about it regardless.

i mentioned my circus troupe, and how i need more acrobat dragons... and she says "oh, maybe that new one of yours that i really like could be an acrobat!"

the dragon in question is a permababy veilspun that is, quite literally, 5 inches long. they're the size of a rat. so i can only imagine that if they were an acrobat, it would look like this

I for one think we should continue the trend of snub nosed dragons until we reach the logical conclusion of a dragon whose face is as flat as a barn owls a flat, mask like visage that unsettles other dragons

Hot take that'll probably get me thrown into the Wyrmwound, but the dusthide's design, excluding the wings, makes more sense than horns and spikes for a burrowing creature

I want them to add a new food type that is exclusive to the new breed. It's called "mineral" where the dragon can eat earthy minerals like feldspar and basalt like it's regular food, but crunchier. Keep your diamonds locked up, because the Earth ancient may try to snack on it

Design of my veilspun Ametrine!! I thought it would be cool to do something a bit funkier for the designs of my ancient dragons. I have quite a lot, but I really want to draw some more. I’ve already sketched a drawing for a gaoler that I think would be super fun hehe

I’d like to maybe change the clothing and add more chains/butterflies to better match the skin.
