Hey, it's been a long time since I was last on here. How are you all?

A lot has happened in my life, both good and bad since we last met. I graduated University with a degree in 3D Animation, I got a part-time job as a design assistant and teach workshops, I met my life partner last year and he means the world to me. I also had to deal with my dad getting diagnosed with lung cancer and now I recently found out that I won't have him by the end of the month. Life is...*something* to say the least.

There's been beauty and pain, things not even stated above and it's led me to reflect on parts of my life as I sit here on this bus home from work looking through my archive.

I'm sorry I failed a lot of you. I had high ambitions on this blog and my personal life kept creeping in, and despite many promises to become what I used to be in this fandom - I didn't follow through with it and eventually my brain just refused to come back. And for that, I'm sorry.

I don't think I'll be continuing Twdg stuff here, but I want you all to know that you truly did mean a lot to me. My time spent with you all during TFS as I spent every day coming up with theories and replying to you all is one of the best moments of my life and I cherish all the memories you have given me. You all made me feel like I was capable of more than I thought I was, and I'll always be grateful to you for that. And even though I have been gone for so long, I have never forgotten all of the people I met on here and our interactions together.

I hope you all are living your best lives and know that even if your life is being ass sometimes - you will overcome it. The thing about life is that it really is unpredictable, but amidst all of the losses, there are also wins that keep you going. And I hope at the end of it, despite what your past or present may be - you all are truly happy.

What are your thoughts on smut with the characters from The Final Season?

I feel like it's to be expected tbh. Forgetting the fact that it's prominent in every fandom (regardless of romantic elements or not). A good chunk of people who played TFS when it came out and participated in the fandom were teenagers themselves.

I've never read any smut fanfics of the characters because it's not my thing. I like smut in small doses depending on the fanfic and participants (if it's part of slow burn development and they're my age or older), but I've always felt weird about it when it comes to characters younger than me so I never had the interest nor urge to read it lol.

I'm more for the innocent bonding and sweet type of romance when it comes to them and I'm glad the game chooses to go that route since it makes their relationship feel more genuine.

Clem, Louis, Violet, etc are my kids basically. You acknowledge they realistically have those urges somewhere but you don't want to think or know anything about it lmao.

Hey, good to see you active again. Have you read Clementine Book 1? If so, will you maybe do a review of this comic, and say what you think of it? I'm damn curious about your opinion on it. I personally think it has some interesting ideas but the plot itself is lame.

For a second I thought you were referring to those pages we saw forever ago and I was gonna say I ranted about it a lot, not realizing the actual book released last month lol.

But nah, I have not read it yet.

Truthfully, the preview put me off the story because the direction and writing seemed quite flimsy and a flanderization of the source it’s basing itself on, but I’ve decided to give it a proper try even if I do not agree with the characterizations.

So I’ll do a full review of it if people are really interested :) 

As I’m probably going to be using a few pages as references in my review (I might have a non spoiler summary with a spoiler section further down) I don’t want to just take it from a website online, so I’ll buy the book to support the creator as they did also put time into making it after all. 

I am quite curious to see how it ends up.

I never brought this up back when it happened as I wanted my blog to be a safe space from drama, but I actually recall getting a private DM from someone angry at me over it because they were very serious about the conspiracy. It wasn't an active blog though, it seemed like they made it purely to message me.

Oh me too, she was great fun and a delight to talk to. I'll never forget both of us freaking out over episode 3 over what happened to both Louis and Violet if you didn't save them lmao.

So, it's been a few years and I'm bound to forget most of them but recently I've went through a period of obsessing over Our Flag Means Death, Helluva Boss, Fire Emblem Three Houses (again lol), The Boys, Cobra Ka, The Quarry, TMNT, X-Men and very recently I've rekindled my love for Text-Based adventure games and have been playing "The Sword of Rhivenia"! Oh! And I've also became a fan of the Yakuza game series.

You should see my Facebook messages to friends rambling about all of the above if any of you thought my Twdg posts were in depth lmao.

I'm happy to hear of any suggestions for things I should watch/play btw!

The Ericson School had 42 students at the beginning of the apocalypse. By the time Clementine and AJ arrived, only 10 students had survived. In the original scenario, there were supposed to be 20 of them. It is a pity that there were no more students, because 10 is not enough to name them to communities.

In a way I do understand why they decreased the amount of students.

Given the financial state of Telltale at the time and the structure of the game (a 4 part episodic) it makes sense to cut everything down to the priority. In this case, characters important to the story and what they can realistically do with them in such a small time frame. If you think about what we ended up having, there wouldn't be any time for character development.

With that said however, I'd have loved to have seen more of the characters just because I loved the kids we got and it would be neat seeing more character dynamics :)

In an ideal scenario, we could have had a bigger game with more features, community development and an extended character roster. But that's also with a more financially stable company, a better time schedule (not bloated with so many games) and more staff members.

This blog is dead

You know, I never understood people who feel the need to write asks like this lol what do you want me to say?

It's not my job to keep this updated every day and we don't have anything to discuss about the game anymore. If you're upset by me not being active on here then either send me something to work with or just unfollow, it's not hard.

Since my last post I've received 1 ask not including this one, to which I've currently been saving until sometime in July after my break to focus on it. This blog isn't like years ago where I had a lot to respond to. And I've pretty much exhausted all I can theorise at this point regarding S4. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that things change.

You may not like that, but that's how life is all of the time.

With that said, if people really want me to talk about something, anything - my inbox is always open.

Not quite "posts", but tags, definitely.

So, any long term followers of the blog may remember this, but I used to have a running joke with ClementineJavier regarding pineapple on pizza and it was this long debate we had every once in a while between our blogs because at the time I represented Louisentine and she was Violentine in the fandom (just playful banter).

Anyway, we used to call it "pizzagate" as a joke and that's how I used to tag those convos for the sake of keeping it all together.

...

I then found out a year later that "Pizzagate" also meant something else and I had probably been flooding the tags for a serious conspiracy theory with my stupid pineapple on pizza war :))

Yep, so that was awkward.

It seems like it's a fake conspiracy though that's been heavily debunked a lot so I don't feel as bad for my fuck up lmao. But yes, that was something I did.

Yup. I remember as soon as that comic first came out I made a massive rant about it pointing out the flaws and wonky writing lol

It annoyed me so much that even when I left the blog for ages I'd still think back to it randomly some days and get irked lmao

It's going to be an experience seeing the next installment of Clem's new story that was never asked for nor needed.

Honestly though, I've no clue how anyone could look at that plot and think it was the most logical continuation of TFS. It didn't need one to begin with, but if you really HAD to make one - this is the worst way to go about it. And it's 100% just because they didn't want to deal with the choice outcomes of TFS and the various endings.

Which is completely fair tbh, because as an artist and someone who likes writing, that's a crazy amount of work and you have the concern of not pleasing half the fans depending on how you went about it.

But then it begs the question: why do it at all? Or alternatively, why not make it about a different period of Clem's life like before she got AJ back? That gives the writer creative freedom without contradicting or ruining the character development of the ending of the game series.
