I have been hard on myself lately and I always notice this pattern by how hard I judge/criticize others.

I got the stomach flu for three days, then I was walking the next week and hit by a car

Both instances were divine interventions- guidance to slow down. I couldn’t decode these messages until a dear friend reminded me of how many projects/tasks I have accomplished within the last two months. I honestly forgot.

All this to say… I needed self care, self soothing, a softness to my approach with self.

I can often be hard and rigid, life doesn’t flow that way. It’s just what I was taught and I’m unlearning it. Being kind to yourself is a habit I wish to instill and I’ll keep reminding myself until I’m home again.

I’ll forgive myself when I forget, and continue the path.
