okay americans i gotta ask because as an European i grew up with lots of american shows and cartoons and in a lot of them there was an episode where they give the protags a doll or an egg or a bag of flour or whatever and told them pretend to be its parents or something
usamerican stupidity has so much range because it can go anywhere from "whoa I can't believe you guys don't have [hyperspecific venue/product such as 7 Eleven or Ben and Jerry's]" to "DUDE ARGENTINA HAS INTERNET??"
This. 100% this. She's like Elon Musk, she can't fucking stand that there are people that don't like her and don't want to give her their time of day. That why she has all of those followers on Twitter, but she searches out people saying unflattering things about her. She desperately want to be loved by everyone and reacts negatively when she doesn't get it.
This is fascinating for two reasons.
1. They havenβt actually apologised for anything. Sheβs pre-emptively rejecting an apology that they have no intention of giving.
2. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are extremely well-liked. A lot of people are more attached to them in their roles as they are to the actual characters in the books.
What does JK Rowling gain by coming out with this?
