the traditional meaning of psyche deals with the human soul, mind, and spirit. as opposed to our physical bodies, the psyche is our center of thought. it creates who we are and what we believe.

in greek mythology, Psyche was a mortal princess who was said to have the beauty of a goddess. humans admired her beauty so much so that they compared her to Aphrodite and even started to worship her over the traditional goddess of beauty. angered, Aphrodite told her son, Eros (also known as Cupid), to make Psyche fall in love with the most vile, horrendous man possible; upon visiting Psyche, Eros fell in love with her and wanted to shield her from his mother's punishment. eventually, Psyche was brought to Eros' palace, and he told her that she could not see his face. after being egged on by her sisters, Psyche took an oil candle to his room in the dark of night and woke Eros; she was caught disobeying the one rule he placed. Aphrodite made Psyche face four trials. she passed most of them with relative ease, but the last trial led to her death as she opened a box of Persephone's beauty that contained the essence of death. touched by her sorrow, Eros saved her life and took her to Mount Olympus where she became the goddess of the soul. Psyche and Eros went on to have a child named Hedone, the goddess of physical joy.

when i think of this asteroid, i think of what the soul wants. what it craves to achieve and experience. it also reminds me of selflessness.

—Neptune in the Houses part.1—

Neptune in the first house:

It makes you a kind, generous and definitely empathetic person but also your sensitivity is often reached to a higher level than it normally should be. You might have identity crisis at times or are confused about your personality. Its sure to say that there is a dreamy, ethereal, photogenic, stylistic, feminine & soft beauty about you. You’re imaginative, kind, sensitive, sympathetic, reliable, charismatic & psychological. Because of ur great imagination, you might have musical or artistic abilities. You should be able to express yourself creatively in front of others. You’re an idealist who makes people feel like you truly understand them and you always follow your intuition. Most of the time you observe emotions and energies from other people around you. You might sometimes even mimic those emotions or personality traits just to “fit in”. Although this ability can make you seem attractive, appealing or magnetic. You don’t care what others think of you. Its likely that in social situations this placement will simply just go with the flow. Try to avoid “friends” or friend groups that will have a bad influence on you. Neptune in the 1st house individuals like helping others, they are highly intuitive but they also often choose to run away from problems bc of how afraid they’re to face the truth/reality. You may be forgetful or have a hard time remembering things. Planets in the 12th house may indicate feelings of loneliness. You may be very spiritual or have spiritual interests of any kind, for example meditating, yoga, photography or illusional art. Some people might think you have a unreasonable behaviour or that you have a complicated & chaotic personality. You could come off as detached or unavailable for some people but you know how to life in the present moment. You need a lot of time on your own.

Neptune in the second house:

You may experience wild dreams. You appreciate luxury and beautiful objects & make money by helping others. You can also boost your money manifestation powers and may find yourself attracting money easily. You have unrealistic needs and the relationships with you & money is quite complicated. The biggest problem for people with Neptune in the second house is that despite your deep intuition, you’re blind to financial problems in many areas. Money is not your first focus, and u could easily participate in financially stressful activities such as gambling. You can be selfless, but you can also be overly obsessed with material possessions and money. The purpose of life for people with Neptune in the second house is to grow as a person and help others do the same. You strive for personal perfection and want to take others on this journey. You may like eating Marine/sea animals bc of Poseidon’s influence in the 2nd. You like dreaming of pretty clothes, great food or anything associated with your material needs. Its hard for you to find motivation but once you found it, there is no one who can hold you back from doing what you want.

Neptune in the third house:

You might easily be inspired. You might have the ability to see in the future or you feel like you can read people’s mind. You may want to live near a sea or the ocean. Having natal Neptune in third house can either mean you concentrate very deeply or cannot concentrate at all. These people have a spiritual, confusing or detached relationship with their siblings or their relatives. Its likely that you don‘t have a relationship with your neighbours, or you rarely see your siblings. In puberty you might daydream about your teacher(s) in class, believe me its not worth a try. Although you may dream of becoming a teacher or writer someday. But bc most of these individuals aren’t interested in school at all, they might even drop out of school if they want. You normally tend to see the best in others & love spending time with ur loved one’s. You’re a great communicator that likes to think deeply about things.

Neptune in the fourth house:

This placement could indicate that maybe you have a unstable household every day life. You might felt like your inner child isn’t complete or there was something missing in your childhood. If there are harsh aspects w Neptune then you could feel like you lack emotional safety or support from your parents. Its likely that you have a spiritual connection with one or both of ur parents. Maybe you can’t really remember of what ur childhood was like. Some individuals with this placement were adopted, lost their family as a kid or have one missing parent, thats why they often struggle with the past. You may feel like you don’t belong anywhere or feel lost of where your place is. You are likely to self-sacrifice for others, making it easy to manipulate you into doing so. Think about yourself first, then of others. One of your parents could be emotionally detached, somewhat frustrating, an alcoholic or a mystic for the whole family. At some point you might have caught yourself thinking; Why not run away from home? You always felt invisible or forgotten by your family & your family is very chaotic. As a kid you might have had imaginary friends, you always feared the dark and might had have insomnia at some point in ur life.

Neptune in the fifth house:

When it comes to love, you’re kinda like the hopeless romantic. This placement can indicate secret love affairs. You might have unique children in the future. You’re very charismatic and love anything related to drama and entertainment. Having other persona planets in this house means you enjoy being in the spotlight or drama. You’re a great storyteller and might have good acting abilities. You love children and do anything to make them happy, maybe you want to become the perfect parent you always dreamed of having. You love your partner unconditionally, search for a deep full connection but you can be naive in relationships and wear rose-tinted glasses (similar to Neptune in the 7th). Neptune is mostly about idealisation & in this case you might also idealise your partner. If Neptune is bad aspected with several planets then you might suffer from illusion or you can’t see things very clearly. You like watching movies a lot or playing video games related to science/fantasy fiction as a form of escaping your everyday life. You dream of a partner with artistic or musical abilities, someone who is creative or inspires you in general (especially if Juno falls into that house).

Neptune in the sixth house:

This is a more difficult placement because Neptune rules over Pisces and Virgo over the 6th house so its opposition. Meaning that Neptune doesn’t feel good in the 6th which is why you could have difficulty focusing on daily activities or your routine. It could as well be difficult for them to find a job. You might find it hard to find motivation to complete even your daily tasks. You’re an animal lover and at least have a cat or a dog. You’ve came to this earth to heal others and try to protect the world wherever you can. Neptune in the 6th house aren’t such fans of routine, they might rather be spontaneous instead of creating a to do list. Its common for them to be lazy and not clean their room (can’t be angry with u at this one). Maybe you don’t have such a strong immune system & that’s why you often get ill, you might have the rarest allergies. This placement can in worst cases lead to depression since their favourite thing to do is lay in bed all day & do nothing. You’re too busy being stuck in daydreams thats mostly the reason you can’t get your work done. You‘re prone to last minute canceling or “I’ll do it tomorrow”. You might also struggle from insomnia or panic attacks, so meditate daily or get some sleep. If you ever dreamed about getting the perfect body, don’t panic, I know you’re gonna make this. You just need the will to achieve your daily goals. The lesson you have to learn is that you should make sure to take enough care of yourself. It could also be difficult for you to show up at work on time and not too late.

Astrology: Your Signature Sign

Although not as well known or often discussed as other facets of a natal chart, your signature sign can still reveal a lot about you. In astrology, your signature sign is the sign that’s most specific to you, and you’ll discover that the characteristics of this sign repeat themselves often in your chart.

To find it, add up the modalities and elements of your planets – the most frequent modality and element in your natal chart will then combine as your signature sign. This sign is not necessarily the same as your sun sign or rising sign. Sometimes, people don’t even have planets in their signature sign. However, chances are you can highly identify with the qualities of this zodiac sign.

Every sign has its element and modality, and they are key to calculating your astrological signature sign. There are four elements: fire, earth, air, and water, and there are three modalities: cardinal, fixed, and mutable. Each zodiac sign is a unique combination of an element and a modality.

Fire signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Fire signs are enthusiastic, optimistic, and extroverted. They have a lot of energy. Fire signs are very inspirational and they have good leadership skills.

Earth signs, on the other hand, are focused on the reality of the physical world. They want to provide and get the work done. Earth signs are known as hard-working, persistent, organized, and realistic.

Air signs represent the intellect. They have a mental approach to life, and they are fascinated by a good conversation, a mind-blowing book. They are usually very smart. Air signs tend to rationalize feelings.

Water signs are associated with emotions and intuition. There is a touch of mystery to the element water. If this element is dominant in your chart, you are intuitive, kind, sympathetic, and process information on a more subconscious level.

Cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn

Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

Mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces

Cardinal signs are active and like to take action. They love change and like to initiate them, too. They want to be in charge of their own lives, and they have the courage and self-motivation to do so.

Fixed signs are here to finish what cardinal signs started. They are persistent and hard-working, keeping their word. Fixed signs dislike changes, except maybe if it was their own choice to do something in a different way. It’s hard to change the mind of a person who has fixed signs emphasized in their natal chart.

Mutable signs embrace change. They need versatility, however, they often lack follow through. The role of mutable signs is to explore and find alternative ways to do something. They easily become bored.

Every zodiac sign has its unique corresponding element and modality. There are three signs of each element and four signs of each quality or modality. However, there are not two signs of the same element and quality.

Aries: cardinal fire

Taurus: fixed earth

Gemini: mutable air

Cancer: cardinal water

Leo: fixed fire

Virgo: mutable earth

Libra: cardinal air

Scorpio: fixed water

Sagittarius: mutable fire

Capricorn: cardinal earth

Aquarius: fixed air

Pisces: mutable water

To calculate your signature sign in astrology, you have to add up the element and modality of the signs where your planets are in your natal chart.

First, look to your sun. Find the element and modality of your sun sign.

Next, find your Moon. Again, find the element and modality of it.

Repeat this process for all the planets in your natal chart: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

After you’ve finished this, move on to the ascendant and the Midheaven. These two placements are very important in astrology, and they have a great influence over your personality. Find their element and modality, and add them to your list.

Find the element where you have most of your planets. Next, find the modality, and combine them into a zodiac sign. For example, if your dominant element is fire, and your dominant modality is cardinal, referencing the table above, your signature sign would be Aries!

If you have an equal number of planets in two elements or qualities, you have an ambiguous signature sign. To break this tie, leave out your midheaven placement and re-calculate your list.

ARIES: If Aries is your signature sign, you are ambitious and strong-willed. Sometimes hot-headed and impulsive, you tend to act before you think. You are a born leader, and like to initiate things. Taking action is your second nature.

Aries is a straightforward sign, and that sometimes includes unintentional bluntness. Being independent is very important to you. You are competitive and brave, and someone who loves new challenges. You love to win. Aries is always after new opportunities to conquer.

TAURUS: If Taurus is your astrological signature sign, you can probably identify with its traits to a great extent. You like to think before you act. Often, you need a lot of time to make a decision, but once it’s done, nothing can make you change your mind. You are incredibly stubborn and persistent.

Taurus is the sign of hedonism. If this is your signature sign in astrology, you know how to enjoy life. You appreciate good food, beautiful clothes, and everything luxurious. Taurus craves stability, both financially and emotionally. You are dependable and passionate.

GEMINI: If Gemini is your signature sign, you are curious, witty, and talkative. You are a great observer, someone who notices every detail, and then makes a pun about it. Geminis are incredibly smart. They love to read and write, and they are usually talented when it comes to expressing themselves.

What is a Signature Sign?

For those who don’t know what a Signature Sign is:

Its like your second ascendant, its like your aura or first “vibe” when people meet you. Its the strongest sign in ur chart. But at the same time can also be the sign you understand best with. Its like your real zodiac sign, its very similar to your characteristic’s. A part of your personality. Its just like your “dominant zodiac sign”

If you don’t know at what time you were born - your signature sign is likely to be your 2nd ascendant. Or if you never felt like your asc, this might be your real ascendant.

Then go on Free Horoscopes > Various astrology calculations > Other astro calculations > Dominant Planets & Elements -> Type in your birth data & go on Calculate Dominants >> and then you should see Signature sign (calculated by the amounts of elements & modalities that show up in your chart) Your Signature sign doesn’t have to be in your big three’s, its often times calculated by the rest of your chart. It is normally calculated by the “modern method” but you can always “switch to Traditional” if it feels incorrect for you although the modern method is more accurate. Now if you got Ambiguous Signature Sign, then you might have multiple Signature Signs.

My Signature Sign is in Scorpio, which is also my Moon & Rising sign. I personally understand best with water placements & think its because of my signature sign. Having their Signature sign trine or conjunction your Sun/Signature sign, shows that you’re very compatible with this person.

(There was a girl I once met and her Signature Sign was in Gemini, she hypnotised every damn man with Libra or Aquarius placements. She understood best with Air placements & even her dom element is Air. Even tho her Sun is in Aries, she is still compatible with Libra Sun men)

Astrology observations #1

Welcome to my first astrology observations!

I’m in no way a professional astrologer, this is purely for fun. Take only what resonates with you! I'm happy to discuss these points further in the comments :)

♦️ Leo mars live for the praise. They love words of affirmation, especially in bed 😏 They call the attention effortlessly when exercising, dancing or other mars-related activities. But they might not always like this.

♦️ Chiron 1st house can be very insecure about their appearance if they don’t work to heal this. I know someone with this placement that hates mirrors as they never liked what they saw. But it gives great potential to heal and help others regarding these issues.

♦️ Sagittarius mars people could regularly need new experiences in their sexual life. They might be open to try everything once “just to see”, and they might lean less toward monogamy than other mars placements.

♦️ Moon in the 6th house might be more sensitive to anxiety as their emotions lie in the house of daily life and routine. So they might have to deal with their emotions on a daily basis. They might need regular physical movement and consistent routines to feel regulated and content.

♦️ Pluto conjunct MC might hate posting on social media as they could feel exposed and vulnerable if they do. They might have an intense need to keep their life private.

♦️Venus square Saturn can have a lot of difficulties with their self-worth, which affects their relationships. If you have a low self-esteem you will settle for less than you deserve. Once they have sufficiently worked on themselves and on their self esteem, they can find great love. This doesn't mean it can't come early but it might be more challenging. However, Saturn delays but never denies. They are not doomed and will find love (this depends also on other placements and aspects).

♦️Moon in Taurus can have a very calming and healing aura. People feel at peace when with these natives, especially when hugging. They are very grounded and stable, which is felt by others and is very reassuring. However, they can be stubborn at times as Taurus is a fixed sign.

♦️Mars in the 12th house could be passive aggressive sometimes as they do not recognise their own anger and never really learn how to control it. They might have sudden outbursts which can take the people around them by surprise.

♦️Sun opposite Moon can have a difficult relationship with their mother. They can feel that their mother's personality is the complete opposite of them and that they are not understood by her. Other aspects to the moon can come accentuate this or make it easier.

♦️Pisces Mars often have a talent for dancing. One of my best friends has this placement and she is a professional contemporary dancer. Her movements are so graceful, it really looks like water moving. Mars at a pisces degree (12°, 24°) can have a gift for dancing also to a lesser extent.

♦️Pluto in the 9th house can bring transformations and soul evolutions when traveling overseas, studying a higher education or moving abroad.

Aries in the 2nd house & Taurus in the 3rd House:

Aries 2nd house people usually have a very husky/raspy voice and can talk pretty fast when they're excited or angry. Although, their Taurus in the 3rd house can make them more soft spoken in everyday life. If you get on their good side they will be sweet to you but if you piss them off they won't hestitate to drag you. They can be slick with their words.
