I’ve been keeping this thought for a long time ever since I finished reading the novel, even before I started watching The Untamed.

The whole story is mostly told from Wei Wuxian’s perspective, including their reunion here after 13 years (16 years in CQL).

But I really, really, REALLY want to know how the story is from Lan Wang Ji’s perspective JUST for this particular part, ONLY for this part.

How did he feel when he went up the mountain and what face was he making the moment he:

Heard the sound of a flute; and

Noticed that the flute was playing the song he composed for his beloved Wei Ying, that one song no one else except he himself and Wei Ying know

Wang Yi Bo did a spectacular job, especially in the last picture, when he was staring at the masked man before him.

But whether he was staring in surprised, disbelief, thrill, or a mixture of a bunch of emotion here, I just really want to know what was running in Lan Wangji’s head as he went up the mountain and heard “WangXian” suddenly being played up there out of the blue.
