i come from the 8tracks generation where you weren't allowed to just dump three and a half twee indie folk/tswift records into a fanmix and call it done. on 8tracks you had 8+ handpicked songs in rigid chronological order and an accompanying mission statement and thesis defence detailing exactly why each one applied to your derek x stiles coffee shop au AND cover/track-list art hodgepodged from stolen pinterest/tumblr aesthetic photography, and all of this was done under constant threat of death because it was the DMCA wild west and the site was in a constant state of gradual collapse.

Think I'll have the roses filled in red with black outlines, and I'm tempted to move the bottom right hand to be holding on to the web instead of the bent leg

Also the text will be closer to the art nouveau style I used for Rusalka, with black as the fill in and Red as the outline

Me: Ok, we're going to keep the bug fairy cover art simple. Just stick with a spider's web theme

It feels wayyyyy too horror themed rn, so i gotta figure out how to soften it up a bit more, but still keep the edge to it

but the disembodied spider eyes WILL be staying. I love that detail too much

I feel like spider web lace is the answer to making this feel softer. Also am probably gonna add a 4th floating hand onto the top left corner for spider dude
