I think it's fair to assume the sandai kitetsu got into logue town from the samurai who traveled from wano (50 years ago) and who maybe wanted more to explore the outside world? We know some of them built the Shimotsuki village, like kozaburo, but theres still so much unknown for the others - some probably traveled further to other towns. Maybe someone was defeated by pirates and their weapons sold, and found their way to logue town. especially a cursed sword like kitetsu could have brought a lot of unfortune on those who weren't supposed to wield it, so i can imagine it changing hands until it's forgotten where it came from.

I want to know how old are the gorosei too. If some of them are centuries old or just decades? But especially the connection with Nusjuro and samurai and wano is interesting. Maybe his sword is much much older, or maybe he himself was once a swordsmith too? If he knows the powers behind the kitetsu line, maybe he will recognize it if he encounters zoro in this arc!

Theres just so many questions!

one piece chapter 1113 spoilers

i'm curious if the sword that nusjuro gorosei has could rlly be shodai kitetsu

in this chapter the hilt and blade were finally more visible when he was seen using the sword, as opposed to in the previous chapters where the focus wasn't on the details of how it looked, but more on the attacks themselves (if i remember correctly)

it looks so similar to zoro's sandai kitetsu:

"Sandai Kitetsu is a moderately curved katana with a white edge and a distinct blue hamon that has the appearance of flames. Its tsuba is golden and shaped like a rounded cross pattée." (x)

and to nidai kitetsu (that luffy had in wano for a brief time)

"Nidai Kitetsu is a moderately curved katana with a light purple edge and a distinct blue hamon that has the appearance of flames. Its tsuba is gold and shaped like a rounded cross pattée." (x)

it'd make sense the gorosei has one of the most powerful and legendary swords, as well as the first one in the kitetsu line

it also makes me wonder how he even got it.
