reaction to the first image: oh! someone made a gijinka (humanized version) of the Lor Starcutter! that's so cool!
reaction to the second image: meta knight- oh, that's the Halberd. hell yeah
...i was not at all prepared for the third image. And now I shall curse it onto more people because. yknow what ship yuri why not
what if we were worst enemies but our ships were lesbians and in love
i imagine Bandee had no idea the full extent of how much Dedede trusted him until opening up that will... and learning that Dedede had left him the command of whole kingdom...
Bandee will be a great king, that's for sure.
Heir.
(stuffs under the cut!)
The king dededied 😞 also yeah it’s hella referenced by princess peach’s stained glass drawing
why are all manga versions so unhinged... first I found out about the Kirby manga, then the Sonic one, now this... they all scare me in such hilarious ways.
So I started reading the Princess Tutu manga, expecting it to be more or less the same as the show, and it was startling to discover that Ahiru gets her pendant from Edel, not Drosselmeyer; Edel is now a busty woman running a dress shop in town; and Tutu's first task is to save Mytho from being eaten by a giant fish.
For the record, Mytho spends most of the first chapter wearing these eye-searing plaid pants, while Fakir is dressed like this:
And Edel looks like this:
She's always wearing a different outfit in every scene, and reminds me of Yuuko Ichihara from xxxHolic. Drosselmeyer might be the owl, I guess?? Otherwise, he's Sir Not Appearing In This Manga.
There's also been at least one panty shot (something the anime avoided), sigh. And Edel tells Ahiru that the pendant is a heart shard in the second chapter, which was a major reveal in the anime!
Also, apparently Ahiru isn't a duck in this version but Kraehe turns her into one and Fakir has to rescue her from drowning?
I definitely prefer the anime, but it's wild how much these two versions diverged.
I am publically apologizing to Lanolin for how much I hated her. I did this to almost every new IDW character but Lanolin is underrated so i'll give her a post (which is funny because she's not even one of my blorbos) she's just. the tired straight man and is hilarious. especially since Lanolin just got here and is already tired. she and Whisper went through a digital hellscape together. she picked a fight with tangle's paddleball. disappointed by Silver (Silver *is* a blorbo and i may not like the Diamond Cutter's part of Issue 63 i think that neither Silver and Lanolin were in the wrong)
sorry for hating you on sight girly i need to believe in IDW more
king dedede. king who stole all the world's food and got a castle that was utterly destroyed rebuilt. broke. and yet somehow i believe it.
what I CAN'T believe is that unfair healthcare exists in Popstar, Land of Miracles. UNLESS one of the capitalists is running it (susie, magolor, etc) which i doubt.
regardless this is funni as hell and i can't stop rewatching it
never knew i needed morpho and bandee friendship before now this is awesome
and we all know from the title character that the cutest characters in kirby are the scariest!

now listen - what if Morpho and Bandee decided to keep an eye on Magolor in the Dream Kingdom to make sure he actually reforms
I drew all of these at around midnight - 2am over the last couple days, but enjoy my painful brain rot results
