honestly not surprised they killed off Scully's dog in a case-related incident, because 1) they love to do that to Scully's (and Mulder's) family members and friends!!! 😭 and 2) there was no way there were going to effectively incorporate the fact "Scully has a dog" over time, it was already so iffy as an idea

my list of places Mulder and Scully go is mostly for me, I think, but I'm always excited when there's a new state! through 3:22, they've gone to 30 of 50 U.S. states, plus Puerto Rico and DC

FBI agents take small dog on field trip to find a lake monster; it doesn't go well
What is the plot? Scully's dog is back, and with them on an impromptu trip to Georgia! Is there a dinosaur-like lake creature as the decades of rumors suggest? Maybe. And has it recently been on a human-eating spree? No, actually! (According to Scully, most drowning victims are actually drunk men who lose their balance while trying to pee into a body of water. That's not what was going on here, but it's an interesting suggestion.) On the way to finding out what has been eating humans, though, Scully is a great Navy brat but their boat sinks anyway, and Mulder and Scully sit freezing on a rock and bond over Moby Dick and cannibalism. Scully questions Mulder's motivations, which is only fair since coming on this trip literally killed her dog!!
What does this episode suggest about Mulder and Scully’s relationship with each other? Very "they disagree with each other but are a united front to others" this episode. Some talking about their inner lives. Also, Scully helps Mulder find a compromise with the local sheriff and then he sort of abandons her to help an injured person on her own in his desperate pursuit of the creature, though his instincts turn out to be partially right, and this leads to him shooting the serial killer alligator.
Where are the aliens? they better leave this lake alone, there's enough going on

Kyiv-based artist Alexey Kondakov uses surrealistic documentary photography to superimpose figures from classical artwork into everyday scenes of modern life. He is renowned for his Photoshopped collage series in which Kyiv, Ukraine served as the backdrop for characters from old world masterpieces. The artist merges the past and the present, showing with a deft eye how classical figures fit seamlessly into contemporary situations that, in themselves, are timeless.
