Parasyte the Grey. 9
Story: 9
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 10
Comparable to: Sweet Home (kdrama); Peninsula (kdrama) ; Imawa no Kuni no Alice (kdrama)
Based off the manga series. It took me by surprise by even hooking me in during the first episode. It quite a quick series, fast pace. it’s 6 episodes in length and balanced perfectly. The cast is amazing and the cgi wasn’t too overly done. It’s an awesome horror/sci fi kdrama to add to the fav list.

Successful Story of a Bright Girl/Bright Girl’s Success. 6
Story: 6
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 10
Comparable to: My Girl (kdrama); Shining Inheritance (kdrama); Fated to Love You (kdrama)
Misleading title, should read….girl not bright, naive as heck leads to success. It’s the same troupe cliche story found in most kdramas back then (and still today). Does it work? Sure sometimes, here however the last half took off in another direction (last episode was bonkers) and the whole slight spoiler here (murder forgive part) was giving what the hell are they on vibes. Nonetheless this drama showed how well both Jang Na Ra and Jang Hyuk chemistry were together. So glad they kept making more dramas together.

A Man in a Veil. 6-7
Story: 7
Acting: 8
Chemistry: 8
Comparable to: Can You Hear My Heart (kdrama) ; Good Doctor (kdrama)
Turn your brain off and go with the flow. This drama is highly highly overly dramatic, think telenova, makjang, soap opera. Nothing follows through really with the storyline, so many plot holes, and the characters are dumb down to village idiots, except one character who apparently can get away with murder….seriously. OverallI couldn’t stop watching the series, it’s addictive as heck especially if you’re into this type of drama. Warning though, it’s over 100 episodes long.

Please Be My Family. 6
Story: 7
Acting: 9
Chemistry: 10
Comparable to: the Love You Gave Me (cdrama); Autumn’s Concerto (tai drama); Unforgettable Love (cdrama)
I had so much high hopes for this one but unfortunately it starts out great then slowly descends into a pile kookieness (don’t even get me started with that last episode, oof). The draw out a ongoing storyline that seems never ending. It definitely needed to be edited down some. The kids in this are super adorable though. If it weren’t for them and the main leads excellent chemistry, then this drama would be unwatchable.

Pending Train: 8:23, Ashita Kimi to 7
Story: 7
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 10
Comparable to: the Stranded (thailand); Missing 9 (kdrama)
This drama is for those who love those ‘Lost’ apocalyptic type shows. Storyline wise it’s not bad just executed meh like. Not much romance, great building of characters though. It’s a fun drama since it’s a short one.
