I'll be helping out with the non-star wars requests!! You can donate a minimum of 9$ or buy an e-sim to request a lined and colored drawing from me, like the examples above. Higher donation means higher effort ;)

Open fandom week!!

This week we’re opening up commissions to other fandoms!! Request a piece of writing or art & one of our team of artists will create it for you in exchange for proof of donation.

Guidelines:

We will not draw anything gore, nsfw, or romantic ships.

We will not write anything gore, nsfw, or proship.

Fandoms we will NOT accept requests for are The Last of Us, Stranger Things, Our Flag Means Death, Harry Potter, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss.

We are open to most other fandoms but will not be able to complete certain requests as the team may not be familiar enough with the media to do it justice.

If you have questions about whether or not your request will be accepted feel free to send an ask first!

Be sure to take a screenshot of the receipt & block out any sensitive information (your address, phone number etc.). If you’re purchasing an e-sim send it to [email protected] & only send us the receipt. Please do not send us the QR code.

Morning Star Contributor Applications

Contributor Applications for Morning Star are now open!

Morning Star is a fanzine celebrating Minecraft creators of marginalised gender identity or experience; no matter how big or small, old or new, as long as they can be tied back to the MCYT sphere, and as long as their gender identity or experience can be argued to be marginalized in some way.

If that sounds like something you'd like to participate in, and you make illustrations, comics, or fanfiction, then you can apply via the forms here:

Morning Star Mod Applications are Open!

Morning Star Zine is looking for moderators! If you're interested in helping produce a MCYT fanzine celebrating Minecraft creators of marginalised gender identity or experience, consider applying using the form linked below.

We are specifically looking to fill the following positions:

Editing Mod: Layout experience in a suitable software (Indesign, for example) & capable of assembling all the zine elements into the end result.

Art mod: ability to give constructive criticism and help contributors with their piece, ability to create art pieces for the zine (for example, promo art, spot illustrations within the zine, etc.)

Writing mod: ability to give constructive criticism and help contributors with their piece, ability to write for the zine (for example, social media posts, foreword& conclusion, …)

Finance Mod: Experience with print on demand, order fulfillment and/or physical zine distribution. (Added disclaimer that we aren't sure yet if we will do a physical print of the zine as well, so taking on a finance mod isn't guaranteed)

We are also very interested in having members who are knowledgeable about different CCs and sides of MCYT than the current mod team is, such as QSMP, DSMP, standalone streamers/youtubers... As it stand, mods are mostly familiar with Hermitcraft and the Life series.

The form will close on March 17th at Noon GMT; the applications results will be sent out sometime during the following week.

Announcing the Theme for Hermitzine #9: ABCs!

For the ninth issue of Hermitzine, “H is for Hermitcraft” Edition: A is for Alphabet, B is for Book (with pictures!), and C is for Contributor applications opening March 2nd!

This time, the Hermitzine team is taking inspiration from the inventive, colorful and often surprising world of picture book art to go on a whimsical journey across Hermitcraft, from A to Z.

If you join us for the ride as a contributor, you’ll be teamed up in a group of several artists and one writer (this may vary a little depending on circumstances). Your team will be assigned a letter of the alphabet, and as a team, you’ll create a section of the zine for that letter, between 1 to 5 double page spreads.

You’ll need to work together to create a fun and cohesive section for your letter, but the shape that takes? That’s up to you. Want to work on individual pieces that go well together? Go for it! Want to all team up on a single, multi-page writing and illustration work that takes up the entire section? Go ahead!

This edition is about playfulness, having fun, and going on an adventure, so we’re very excited to see what people come up with.

To help our alphabet teams get started, we’ll be gathering prompt suggestions from the community, so keep an eye out for a link to the prompt suggestion form. Stay tuned for applications opening March 2nd!

Prompt suggestions for Hermitzine 9: "The H is for Hermitcraft" are open!

This edition is slightly different from previous ones; artists and writers will be assigned to one letter of the alphabet, and will base their piece on a word starting with that letter. For example, "K is for King" can be a piece about the King Ren arc, "S is for Shard" as a piece about Decked Out's Frozen Shards, or even as simple as "M is for Minecraft"!

However, coming up with enough prompts to fill the entire alphabet is...a little daunting. So we want you (yes, YOU!) to suggest prompts that our contributors can use or be inspired by! It's as easy as filling out this form, which you can do as many times as you'd like. The form will close on March 16th, the same day as the application forms.
