are you in my memories akdhskdhkshd. no but seriously are u. my house in college was THE movie night house (which obviously mean like. after the movie was over and most ppl went home then like whoever was left would stay up and watch entirely random youtube videos. and also that whenever we were home we’d just leave the door open so people would show up to do homework and watch youtube. we watched so much robot chicken for some reason lmfao). and now i live in a little studio but i still own all the blankets from that era so my coffee table chest thing is just STUFFED with fuzzy blankets

this was what my house was like approximately 4 nights a week. usually one of those nights would be an actual movie so like 5-10 more ppl would be there spread out around the floor

maybe it's because you post about track and field and i have a lot of fondness for sporting events where there's a lot of space and time to hang around, but your blog reminds me of sitting on a towel on the grassy field, watching people do their events, drinking gatorade, those yellow moths bumbling around, and then everyone getting into one car to go to 711 for slurpees......and then explicably ending up at the library.....

omfg stop the way you just described like . 50% of my memories of college… i love this sm like the level of joy the level of fond…

oh another one… i’ll theme my answers for this one hehe

1. i won a chinese speech competition when i was 12 and then a chinese essay writing competition when i was 13! i remember part of the prize was a MASSIVE box of green apple now n laters that took me like literally a year to finish off

2. i got a perfect score on the international baccalaureate french oral exam when i was 17

3. i got awards for my (english) writing in middle school and high school. despite all of the above i took a single writing class and no languages in college lol (and wrote only two essays in that class. one on how doja cat leverages virality to her benefit [this was in january of 2020 and i think ive been proven correct in the last four years] and one on how the beatles and one direction were functionally the same band. i titled that one “the beatles: the old one direction?” or smthn like that)
