“When you start to know someone, all their physical characteristics start to disappear. You begin to dwell in their energy, recognize the scent of their skin. You see only the essence of the person, not the shell. That’s why you can’t fall in love with beauty. You can lust after it, be infatuated by it, want to own it. You can love it with your eyes and your body but not your heart. And that’s why, when you really connect with a person’s inner self, any physical imperfections disappear, become irrelevant.”

The Phantom of the Opera is so funny if you divorce it from the gothic opera house atmosphere like imagine if there was just some guy living underneath your local DMV and everyone KNOWS he lives down there and he’s demanding $20k a month to stop him from going up there and harassing the clerks

the fact that holmes has these elegant hands, but that they’re all scarred from chemical experiments and covered in bandages is one of my favourite visual details from sherlock holmes and i feel like i don’t get to see it often enough so i created what i wanted to see in the world

Some important ages in Encanto I thought would be fun to share:
Alma is 75 in the movie. She was 25 when she gave birth to the triplets, lost her husband, and witnessed the miracle.
When Bruno disappeared the triplets were 40, Isabela and Dolores were 11, Luisa was 9, and Camilo and Mirabel were 5.
Julieta and Pepa were 29 when they had Isabela and Dolores. Give or take a couple years before their births, their parents would've been married likely mid-late 20s.
Julieta was 31 when Luisa was born.
Julieta and Pepa had Mirabel and Camilo at 35.
Pepa had Antonio at 45.

i love we don’t talk about bruno bc it’s like
pepa: here’s a story about an interaction i actually had with bruno
dolores: i am painting bruno empathetically as someone who the family misunderstood
camilo, who is approximately the same age as maribel and barely knew bruno: he was SEVEN feet TALL and will EAT your SCREAMS, I’ve prepared a choreographed RAT DANCE
