Origins: Character Headcanons + Lore Thoughts

Good timezone!

So, here's some added development to the AU! Of course, Mystery Kids is still happening but again, I have a lot of prompts to get through

For starters, the readers are not immediately introduced to all of the characters at once; this will be split in about 4-5 one-shots (certain characters will meet the others beforehand and then do a big meet toward the end- that is all i'm going to say for now). Part 1 is actively being worked on - ft. a cross between Danny Phantom and Miraculous Ladybug, but for now- I plan on focusing with character headcanons and some additional lore elements everyone can be privy too!

On one hand, we have Danny Phantom and Miraculous Ladybug where we have Danny Fenton, Adrien Agreste, and Marinette Dupain-Cheng - and their initial first meeting during Secret Origins

Danny Phantom / Miraculous Ladybug Headcanons

~ Out of the trio, Danny is the oldest; Adrien and Marinette are the youngest (there's a year of difference between them and Danny) [author's cut: I based this on when the respective shows came out. Danny Phantom aired in the early 2000's with Miraculous Ladybug getting released sometime in 2014/2015]

~ This isn't spoilers per se, but there's going to be a case of mistaken identity when Danny meets Adrien and Mari for the first time. The rest is spoilers, and I will leave you to try and figure it out! The only thing I'm going to say is that ghosts aren't a common thing in Paris-

~ This is set in an ambiguous timeline- the only thing I will say for certain is that Phantom Planet has yet to happen. A lot of the current canon for Miraculous Ladybug has been completely disregarded- partially because I never got past... I'd say season five? (and what I've heard about the newer seasons sounds like entering the Twilight Zone-)

~ Danny is auDHD because it just makes sense- (he has dual special interests on space and inventions; not to mention his ghostly obsession)

~ Adrien and Mari are definitely some breed of neurodivergent (autistic! Adrien, at least and I thought Mari is ADHD or something- this is canon now you can't tell me I'm wrong /lh)

~ Danny and his family end up in Paris, France during the summer due to reasons

~ so far, no identity reveals beyond the obvious have happened. For Danny, it only applies to Sam and Tucker; in Miraculous Ladybug, Mari isn't willing to share her identity with Adrien (this is done on purpose as this is still early into the character introductions)

~ this is no way a spoiler, but Adrien and Danny are so going to bond over puns and jokes- (and other reasons but shhh)

~ unresolved traumas? oh, absolutely- like on one hand, you have Danny who has definitely been going through the burner with protecting his own identity not from his enemies but his parents; Mari definitely has a savior complex and is so set on saving everyone, she barely puts herself first- and Adrien, my sweet summer child- how do I explain what this kid is going through when it comes to Gabriel fucking Agreste? (author's cut: Gabriel is not a good parent lol- I'm not doing a full meta-analysis on him but he doesn't really have Adrien's best interests at heart)

~ Adrien does try to see the best in everyone, but he is wearing down from certain things- i am not going to sugarcoat things, because this is going to a different level of mature and Adrien does try and cover how he feels

Lore Thoughts + Elements

~ As mentioned before, ghosts are not a common thing within Paris. Danny would be an outlier in the equation because this isn't something the citizens have seen before, and it might take some time for them to adjust further into the first arc of the SQ AU

~ If this somehow isn't obvious, Akuma attacks do not occur inside Amity Park (as for one thing, Hawk Moth has never once stepped foot inside the city and for another- ghosts and Kwamis do not mix, it's just not possible)

~ however, citizens from Amity Park can be Akumatized should they leave or if, say, somehow- they were brought into the city but for now, do what you will with this information. Good luck

~ (implied plot elements) "In the purple smoke lies what you hold most dear; to undo what has been done, break the cycle and rewind the masked's design". (author's cut: i'm sure you can figure this one out, but honestly there is so much more coming, so keep an eye out!)

~ Secret Origins Lore / Teen Heroes AU (the name is still subject to change): as mentioned before, there will be about 4-5 one-shots before the main story releases- this may have a little bit of major plot arcs so read at your own discretion - due to the overlapping themes within the four fandoms, there are multiple sectors throughout the world that are specifically for the current growing number of teen superheroes (author's cut: the Dragon Council, for instance- among others, take with this what you will. of course there's more to come)

~ since this is only the first in the Secret Origins background- character introductions are fairly limited; and honestly, I was going to use one of the specials to push forth the lore but ultimately, I scrapped that version (but I could rewrite the version of events that could have happened: especially since I had tied it back to the New York special-) though the alternate version aside, going back to the introductions- the point is for the sectors to slowly become part of... well, let's just say that certain alliances within this piece are going to be only one part of what's to come-

(Author's Cut: As of right now, this project continues to remain a Work in Progress and of course, I'm trying to limit myself with the spoilers- currently the early stages of the Miraculous Ladybug x Danny Phantom fanfic are being worked on, and I am considering writing a small snippet of it! Without spoilers, of course!

Origins: Heroes of New

So, we're back at it again! I had originally planned for this to be solely Secret Trio (Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, and Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja), but I decided to change my plan of trajectory! (All of the following information is unofficial for the time being, as I've yet to finish my DannyMay prompts and my life is a whirlwind lately)

・❥・Under-the-Cut Information

I'll be covering a few short stories, (or one-shots, lol) featuring how the main set of characters are going to meet.

The story will begin in Amity Park sometime during the late season two stage possibly; Vlad suddenly invites the Fentons to an international trip- apparently due to some sort of event happening in the area which, of course, Danny finds suspicious. Happening over the course of the summer, he and the rest of the Fentons are sent over on this vacation.

Deciding to leave any ghostly attacks in the hands of Sam and Tucker, Danny feels a little more at ease but of course- nothing is as it seems.

Though it hardly does anything to quench any of Danny's suspicions on Vlad. I mean who would possibly take a trip this far out?

Once arriving however, he's admittedly in awe of everything but something strange is going on- especially when the first incident happens and suddenly, he's thrust into an unsuspecting battle featuring... non-ghosts? Danny had never faced something like this before, but if his day couldn't get any worse- he's mistaken for...

"What in the ghosts' zone is an Akuma?"

He finds himself meeting another superhero, only this time it's a young girl clad in a ladybug-themed costume and her also animal-themed partner, Chat Noir.

(Though, he also has to clear up exactly who he is- since they've never heard of Danny Phantom; not that he was planning on revealing himself as Fenton)

Things of course, somehow manage to get worse which leads to the trio now uncovering a devious plot happening behind the seams... and it seems this threat is much bigger than they thought.

The rest of course, is for you to read and find out...

This project, alongside the Unlocked Doors AU, will take time and I still have other smaller writing ideas to work on but fear not! I do plan on finishing them- just be patient with me, please.

For now, the one-shots covering the characters' meeting one another will be a series called Origins! [The main series will likely gain a different title, though I have no idea what that will be just yet!]

I just saw a DP/PJO crossover and I am absolutely delighted about the possibilities that would bring.

Like, imagine if Danny was a son of Poseidon, but because the Fenton’s are ghost hunters and make ghost hunting weaponry, they would just obliterate any monster that comes near because they’re tied to the Underworld, which is tied to ghosts because it’s Hades domain, and so they unwittingly made weapons that work against monsters specifically, but the Fenton’s always said they were ghosts.

And then when Danny had his accident? So now this kid has ghost powers plus his untapped demigod powers, which then fused into his well known ice powers, and there was something’s he can’t explain, but chalks it up to ghost abilities.

Meanwhile Hades is throwing a fit because first he had to deal with that upstart Percy Jackson, and now he comes to find that his brother has another son? And now this one has claim to his domain because he died but not fully, essentially adapting to the Underworld and stealing some power and then going back to the world of living. Him and Poseidon have a good row about it, debating on who Danny Phantom technically belongs to, until Zeus just rages out and says that Danny belongs to Poseidon, but must also take rank and fall under the command of Hades, and both have to make it work like disgruntled parents.

I have more ideas but I’ll just leave this for now

Can you rate each HoM crew member on how well they can handle scary/spook stuff? Like, (‘doesn’t fear God himself’) to (‘I heard a creak somewhere in the house and I definitely think it’s a monster about to eat me’)

this is such a hard ask! xD Cause I kinda see them as both ends of that spectrum, because IMO their fear responses are pretty messed up, lol. But like, they are all fluctuating variously between those two, and it really depends on a spooky/scary situation they are in!

But if I just go with what 'vibes' they give it would be more complicated like this:

(cause i think fear of/by god vibes is very different than fear of spookies vibes lol)

(no i wont elaborate, its just what my gut tell me xD also it would take a much detailed introspection that i dont have brainpower for rn)

BUT I also took a liberty of loosely rating their level of anxiety/fear/concern in some spooky situations (in a hauted house photo op style cause i thought it would be funny):

Ghosts/Spirits/Ghouls (just generally undead spiritual stuff)

Monsters/Creatures (specifically monsters and not like magical creatures or sentient aliens)

Science (of mad variety)/Hospital-esque stuff/Experiments (of unethical variety)

(I both hope they do and don’t. Do, because it’s overall funny to think about and Don’t, because I’m sure Randy’s really self conscious about his fear and worries about judgment from anyone)

if it comes up, im sure most of them would be understanding (after all, phobias sometimes can't be helped) after some good natured ribbing

but i have a feeling that Randy might try his best to seem tough in front of them and some would probably take the teasing... a bit too far

Do you think Kim is worried that out of all the HoM, she is the only one who does not have super powers? Well, or the guys worry about her more than the other guys on the team, she’s an ordinary person

oh dude, i've had a blurb about something like it in my drafts for forever since someone asked about my hc for the homies (still working on that ask but hopefully gonna post it soon), but Imma answer this one, so in short - yeah! Kinda.

Kim is not really worried per say, after all she is one of prime examples of human in their peak condition (her whole family is kinda like that, good genetics amirite?) and she has some enhanced equipment to aid her, not to mention all the experience to rely on - BUT she is very aware that out of all of them, she can be the most vulnerable, especialy when it comes to taking hits. Unlike Danny, Jake, Jun, Rex, Jenny, and to some degree Ben and Randy, Kim can't get up after an injury as easily (and neither can Zak actually). So she compensates her human vulnerability by being/fighting smarter and quicker and more precise. I mean, with right equipment and strategies she can win in a VS against most of them, so I feel like she is very... Batmany in that sense, lol.

So, because of that, others know that Kim can handle herself just fine whenever they face off someone/thing that could be considered too dangerous to a normal human - mostly because they know that unlike them, she won't throw herself onto the path of danger recklessly.

But there is also this awareness they all have whenever it comes to their entirely too human friends, to protect the ones vulnerable (I mean, almost all of them have human friends who they had to save from trouble, so their spidey sense of 'squishy friend in danger!!!' is very well developed), so it obviously extends to Kim.

Though I prefer to call it 'covering each other's vulnerabilities', than just worry/fretting, - they cover Kim's back, and she is just as diligent in watching theirs. Because sometimes being human is the best defense, and some other times all those heavy hitters need a reminder that just because they can take those hits and limp away barely alive, doesn't mean they have to.

what would they look like as villains? I know that some have canonical versions, but I would like to see your intropritation (let's be honest, for most - the evil alterego is an exact copy, but only with a slightly modified color palette and frowning eyebrows)

oh, this was a wonderful ask to get on the eve of spooky month ;D im not god at villain (re)design but it was a fun thinking exercise! (also im assuming you were asking about HoMies xD so)

I mean, there is only so much one can do to remake protagonists into villains and yet still have them remain recognizable, so no wonder evil!versions often are just recolor/frowny sort, but I tried my best to be creative ;D

(and your english is alright! no worries)

also while you can imagine them being as villanous as you want in these designs, there are some little blurbs/backstories i made up for myself as I tried to design them, if you are interested (they are various shades of dark, since you know, tragic backstory and all that lol):

Kim Possible - Hero for Hire turned Mercenary for Money - Kim is widely known for her profeciency in hand-to-hand and quick thinking when on the jobs, but one time something went terribly wrong. Maybe client info was unreliable, or a freak accident, but as the result both Kim and Ron got hurt, leaving Ron in a hospital permanently, and Kim with scars and trauma. After that the girl who worked on favors and rides lost her trust/belief in goodness of people, becoming jaded by reality of a job she accidently found herself in. Kim changed into someone very cold and calculated, someone who started taking jobs that required using serious weapons instead of gadgets, and more importantly getting paid, so she could support her best friend (who is in coma and thus unable to influence this downwards spiral Kim find herself in).

(in contrast to canon!Kim's free flowing hair, she ties it back in order to never be distracted in crucial moment. has a lot of new scars due to more dangerous jobs. i still cant decide if she kills with her weapons or not, but she certainly learned to hurt people. also a very complicated relationship with Shego, since Kim is also a mercenary now, but Shego still remembers that girl she was and is conflicted about this new Kim)

Danny Fenton/Phantom - Ghostly Hero turned Ice Prince - s3e6 Urban Jungle turned out differently, when in the end, defeating Undergrowth, meant also hurting everyone he had been connected to at that moment (level of hurt depends on your preference for angst i guess lol), but anyway, Danny horrified by what he have done (and with memory of Dan still haunting him), still technically unstable with his Ice Powers, flees back into the Ghost Zone to the one place he knows he won't be able to hurt anyone. Sequestering himself in the Far Frozen, he goes full Elsa, and become a remote Ice Prince, that even Far Frozen Yetis are still nervous around, with his only contact being Frostbite. Slowly he wastes away, freezing from his powers not only physically but also like emotionally.

(fun (?) tidbit: fur on his new snow cape/coat is from yetis, unfortunate to wander too close to ice prince. so there are a bunch of partially bald yetis in far frozen lol. Danny is constantly covered in bits of ice and frost, since his ice powers are unstable due to emotional damage. Danny's crown is not a conscious choice, but rather a manifestation of Far Frozen starting to bond with Danny's ice core to become his lair and also sort of recognizing Danny as future Ghost King.)

Jake Long - American Dragon Guardian turned Corrupted by Dark Magic Dragon - Series Finale The Hong Kong Longs, ended differently, when Dark Dragon left a parting shot before he was inprisoned for another Millennium. Since meeting Jake, Dark Dragon has been interested in aquiring him as minion/apprentice(?), and had been steadily trying to sway him to his side. But as he lost he made a last ditch attempt, infecting Jake with Dark Magic. As the result, Jake now cannot control his Dragon Form, being steadily consummed by the Darkness and turning more Draconic as time passes, until he will become full Dragon all the time and under the thrall of Darkness. The change is harsh and as the result Jake falls into violent moments during which he hurt his loved ones that fight to keep him from changing. In one of his more lucid moments, Jake flees to hide away in order not to hurt anyone.

(it seems an interesting thought to expand on the possiblity that the Dragon form can overwhelm the human part and that it would associate with dark magic to succumb to its baser instincts, and also would be a great opening to all those wonderful draconic fan headcanons fandom made about Jake lol)

Ben Tennyson - Hero Wielder of Omnitrix turned Corrupted/Hacked Ultimatrix Unstable User - During Alien Force Ben tried multiple times to hack/meddle with Omnitrix settings, and when he continuously tried the same with Ultimatrix in Ultimate Alien, something has gone wrong. Ultimatrix has bonded deep into Ben's DNA and body, and now every change is felt acutely, not to mention the alien perceptions are now unfiltered and Ben recieves the raw experience of being a different speices/state. It comes to a point when it start to mess with his mind, only made worse by Dagon's reemergence and all the enemies. In the final showdown of Ultimate Enemy goes differently, how? no idea (again depends on your preference level of angst lol). But as the result, Ben, unstable and a little crazy, is on the run with his corrupted Ultimatrix, his reputation in tatters and is considered dangerous by Plumbers.

(i had a little extra idea of Omniverse continuation, where new Plumber Rook Blonko, now has to hunt his hero turned crazy tragic villain Ben Tennyson. Very emotional and angsty (and a bit gay lol), where Rook continuously trying to unsuccessfully catch crazy Ben and convince him to let Azimuth and plumbers to help him.)

Juniper Lee - Youngest Te Xuan Zhe turned Corrupted/Fallen Te Xuan Zhe - in this case in Out of the Past, what Ah-Mah Jasmine feared about Fallen Te Xuan Zhe Kay Yee managing to corrupt Jun has sort of came to pass. After defeating Kai Yee, being touched by the overwhelming power of Magical Elders has left its mark on Jun, as well as Kai Yee's words and Jasmine's initial fear about/distrust in Jun (she is like 11-12 people, it would FUCK HER UP MENTALLY???). As Jun goes through her rebellious teen phase, the unfairness of her trapped position as protector and the demands of it, grates on her more and more, and she finds refuge in studying magic. As the result, her magical ability grows and as her desire for freedom, and the smallest seed of corruption from the events of Out of the Past grow too. So in the end, Jun learns magic to wield it , like Kai Yee, but unlike Kai Yee, not just for battle, but for personal goal of freeing herself and any future Te Xuan Zhe of her family line.

(fun tidbit, Jun doesn't continue to dye her hair pink, instead she uses blood from battle ;D morbid i know but i couldnt help it i like the imagery of her passing her bloody hands through the white part to paint it. she has lightning scars all over her body, that appear only when she uses magic - a manifestation of her brush with orb of magic elders.)

Rex Salazar - Last Hope Against EVO turned Contained and Controlled Weapon of Providence - Rex's return 6 months after Breach transported him and his introduction to Black Knight goes very differently. Instead of prolonged mind games, Black Knight just imprisons Rex pretty much right away while he is vulnerable, content to attempt to trigger Rex's amnesia ad use the mind-control collar, to turn him into her mindless weapon. She was sorta successful? But with Ceaser on the inside, he managed, with the help of Six and Holiday, to free Rex, even if it was too late to save his mind. As the result, whatever reeducation Rex suffered from Black Knights left him instinctively reacting with force and in defense. The whole last part of the season goes very differently in this state, and the finale also ends differently, with Rex, overwhelmed with power of Omega Nanite (God) but in no mind to actually control it. So in the end he is forced to be contained as his friends and family try to figure out how to save him.

(the angst of mind-controlled Rex is something I enjoy, but since he canonically is immune to it, the idea of an induced amnesiac episode seemed like a best bet for this one, but with like double the angst since Six&Holiday would have to struggle not only with Rex being turned into amind-controlled weapon but also him not knowing them)

Randy Cunningham - Chosen Norrisvile Ninja turned Disgraced/Fallen Ex-Ninja - relatively early in his career, after accidently releasing Tengu and Howard getting possesed by it, Randy makes an ultimate sacrifice by burning the Ninja Mask in order to defeat Tengu. However, he didn't expect that Tengu-possesed Howard to be sealed away together and the Ninja title being taken away from him for his reckless (even if noble) decision. Frantic, because he lost two important parts of his life, his best friend and heroic purpose, Randy tries to get the reborn mask back, but it, along with the Ninjanomicon were spirited away by the Messenger to pass on to another candidate. And thus starts Randy's panicked downward spiral and frantic attempts to get back the mask in order to free Howard. Since he still has his memories, Randy trains to become a better fighter. He knows he has to fight the new ninja for the mask, since he believes the Ninjanomicon would advice strongly against New Ninja helping Randy free Howard. In school He becomes known as resident outcast with bad reputation who lost his best friend under suspicious circumstances, and magical underbelly of Norrisville another antagonist for the Ninja to battle. However he still retains an odd sense of honor about Ninja (because he was one) so when opportunities to team up with Sorcerer, McFist, Sorcereress come up, he either ignores them or uses them for his own goal. The closest thing to hit home for him was when Mac Antfee also tried to get mask back, but for his own selfish purposes unlike Randy, well, lets just say Randy was pissed.

(i feel bad since i practically nipped Randy's career right on the bud, unlike others, but this one felt like a good turning villain opportunity unlike season finale. also! the idea of Randy beng an antagonist to the next ninja, while struggling with his own goodness and desire to save Howard is incredibly interesting to me lol. also he got scars from Tengu)

Zak Saturday - Heroic Fighter for Cryptids turned Cryptid Kur re-Reborn - the last episode, where Argost took powers of Kur and subsequently Zak died for about 3 minutes, Zak didn't reawaken unscathed. Kur is not only powers to control Cryptids, it was a person once, and after Zak died and was ressurected, a part of Kur has come forth, because some part of Zak has been lost in his death. A changed Zak Saturday worries his family, with him being quiet and introspective, not to mention pale/golden eyed and slightly zombie-like from his brush with death. Inside, parts of Zak the Kid and Kur the Olden Cryptid mesh and mix, leaving this new Zak struggling with who he is. As time passes however, Zak the Kid is slowly loosing the battle with a much more powerful older part of the soul of Kur (it wouldnt normally happen but Zak the Kid lost a significant part of his spirit when he died, which was filled with Kur) slowly regain his abilities (like in TGAS). At some point a change happens, and Zak retreats from his family, starting to wander the world as two parts of him struggle for dominance.

(fun tidbit! Zak's outfit is the same from his future vision of him overtaking the world as Kur, it seemed approrpiate lol. Also for some reason I kept thinking of Van Kleiss (from Generator Rex) when designing evil!Zak. they kinda have the same vibe)

Jenny XJ-9 Wakeman - Robotic Hero of Earth turned Robotic Overlord - this is a bit of mixed influences from different points: in season finale Dr. Locust turns Dr. Wakeman's creation against her; Jenny's Older Brother Armagedroid; Vexus attempt to sway Jenny to her fellow robots side; the whole year where Jenny was mind-controlled by a bratty kid and everyone feared her and even her mother planned to create a new XJ-10 in order to defeat her; and also a bit random but that one time Jenny pretended to be a villain Ruby Rocket (hence the red color scheme with bits of Armagedroid/Cluster designs). I have a bit less clear timeline for this, but lets just say its gradual and that at some point a lot of manipulations Jenny suffered turned her against humanity and their use of her robotic brethern. While she does not desire to destroy humanity like her brother, she certainly lost her trust in it, and after a manipulation one time too many, she snaps, turns into a leveled up version of Ruby Rocket/Anti-hero persona, she takes her sisters and leaves to Cluster, where Vega welcomes her. Jenny still protects Earth, but admittingly from afar and in a more evil way I guess?? She loves her mother, but she struggles with Dr Wakeman's previous disregard of her siblings and just callous regard to her creations (Wakeman can be cold/serious/to-the point, without Jenny constantly reminding her that she wants to be like a normal girl).

(Jenny was the hardest, because I couldnt find a clear point of turning in the series for her, so I decided to go with gradual change of mind about humanity sort of deal.)

oof this turned a bit long lol, thank you anyone who read through this clusterfuck! As you can see i sort of went with 'Were a Hero - tragically turned Anti-Hero due to circumstances' kind of vibe, since Im just unable to imagine these guys be like trully horrible evil villains (and this way is more angsty, since, like Fallen Heroes and all that). Im not that creative lol. Anyway, i hope you were as entertained as i was when creating this haha ;D

"Hey, guys."

"Yeah, Randle?" Jake joked. Though you could hear him choking back a sob, no one said anything about it.

"Gross, don't call me that!" He laughed. Shoving at his shoulder. He was silent for a minute. Bathing in the bright light of the moon. "Even though I'm not sure I'll respond. When you see me out in the wild, say hi to me will ya?"

Jake's jaw tensed. His grin going grim and stiff.

Danny felt his blank expression crack and he let of a strangled laugh.

"I can't believe your still hung up on that!"

Randy blew a raspberry and chucked a piece of popcorn at his face. It phased through him.

"Shut up. It's my almost birthday and I can be as sappy and/or petty as I want. Just promise me will you?"

Danny turned to see that his fist was out, a single digit pointed outward. Danny tries to ignore the slight tremble in Randy's hand as he places his two fingers on top, at least he thinks he does—the world had gone oddly blurry— and whispers out his response.

"I promise." They both turn to Jake as the weight if his three fingers is placed on top.

He couldn't see it—again the world is super unclear for no apparent reason—but Danny just knew that Jake's face was carved into his signature frown. He was probably hoping it would distract from the thick tears rolling down his cheeks. He couldn't help it. The image made him laugh. The idea of three high school seniors balling their eyes out on a rooftop in ridiculous looking costumes outweighed the overwhelming grief of the situation. Just for a moment. They all laugh. The sound surrounds them like a warm blacket, the crisp autumn air warming just a bit.

They kept laughing and laughing. Even as the clock struck midnight and the black mask unwound from Randy's face in tendrils and marbled into the night sky like silk; As the recognition and understanding faded from his eyes and the last tear rolled down his cheek; when his eyes fluttered closed and the last of black melted from his limbs like mist.

They were laughing. Anyone would think that they were laughing from the sound of it. Not realizing that at some point they had turned to sobs. Shaking, body raking sobs.

They were laughing. Even as tears streamed down their faces and stained their clothes. As, with trembling voices, they wished Randy a happy nineteenth birthday.

Meet the Characters [Unlocked Doors AU]

Good timezone, my lovely readers~

As part of the Unlocked Doors AU, I figured we might as well introduce the title characters within it! Not everything will be provided, as a way to avoid bringing up spoilers for the series but- let's get right to it, shall we?

Unlocked Doors Characters

Dipper Pines: 15 years old. Dipper has overcome some of the anxieties from when he had first arrived in Gravity Falls, Oregon. He displays a deep fixation for the paranormal, the unknown, and everything in between; Dipper has become a sort-of unofficial investigator within those fields.

Mabel Pines: 15 years old. Unlike her brother, her interests lie elsewhere - though she absolutely will help out when it comes to the paranormal and unknown world hidden from most. Still true to herself in an artistic way, Mabel found a love for the creative side of things; she became part of both Yearbook Club and other projects, and loves knitting- and has a sharp adventurous side.

Coraline Jones: 15-16 years old. Coraline is the outlier amongst the Mystery Kids, as she honestly longs to put behind the world of the paranormal- following what happened in the Pink Palace but of course, it follows her like the plague. A bit secretive but still sarcastic and prone to sudden outbursts, Coraline just wants to be there for her best friend Wybie and move on with her life. It's a shame what lies in store.

Wybie Lovat: 15 years old. Wybie is the direct opposite to Coraline. A boy with a penchant and curiosity for the unknown and weird makes him naturally an enigma. Though even he has his limits which might be partially due to the traumatizing experience with the Beldam. Wybie continues being an enthusiast in photography, and if he happens to be slightly crushing on Coraline- well, that's his own problem.

Norman Babcock: 13-14 years old. Norman slightly overcame his anxious, introverted side but is still a bit nervous around people he doesn't know. His ability to see the undead (or more specifically ghosts) never went away, and continues to help out wherever he can- he has a penchant for becoming involved in ploys that shouldn't be his worry as a teenager, but here they are anyway.

Danny Fenton: 16 years old. Danny has come long ways since his accident, and while he has become confident and a bit more extroverted- his secret continues being a mystery; he does not want anymore unwanted attention after all, but the trip to Gravity Falls, Oregon changes everything. Danny's intent to protect people continues strengthening everyday to the point where it becomes almost frustrating when it can't be accomplish.

Supporting Characters

Stan Pines: Stan is the former owner of tourist trap, the Mystery Shack, and has now become a seabaring wayfinder of the unknown; alongside his brother Ford, things seem to be looking up as they return home from their latest seafaring journey, but of course - something is brewing... something they wouldn't expect.

Ford Pines: Ford is the adventurer to Stan's wisecracking jokes, but ever the researcher- he longs to uncover more, to dig into the cracks and pull out new information. Following the incident that went down in 2012, Ford has only strengthened his resolve and provides help wherever he can.
