And yes, Mabel coined the term Blanket Monster and Ford finds he really likes it. Being small and hidden feels comforting for him versus trying to be as big and abrasive as possible. While the latter makes him feel more powerful, it's still incredibly uncomfortable and leaves him feeling exhausted afterwards. Being a little creature, even if it does feel pathetic, is more comfortable for him and reminds him that he's home with a loving family.

It was just gonna be a random doodle dump but then I went into Drag Stanley and then into Kitchener Essence analysis. I might do one of Ford eventually but I wanna do him in drag first. I find it easier to analyze essences if I play with gender a bit :P

Kitchener Essences are pretty fun but I wish more masc, queer, gnc, and POC folk play around with it. Most of the research involves western women (usually white) that sticks within more conventional gender stuff (even in the gender-play contexts). I think using it on my blorbos help and it makes it easier to use it for my own styles too. I even see how essences blending create another essence. Like Stan's Dramatic and Romantic essence together can create a Gamine or Natural essence. It's like blending colors! Actually, it is blending colors lol it's color and shape theory

actually essences are straight-up character design but in the fashion world (it is taken from Hollywood and theatre so yeah)
