Preface/Overall Reflection

Hello, Good day. I am Maria Elesia R. vargas, you can call me Elesia. It's pronounced as E-le-si-ya, because many are mistakenly saying my name "elisha" "elis-ya" "elis-aya". I am Grade 12 HUMSS student at Pateros National High School. I am now at the legal age but still got chains on my feet. I like it. Thrilling and exciting than having freedom. But ofcourse, these chains doesn't hurt me. Whenever i ask for keys, they give it. I love it. I am a certified bookworm in love with thriller, slasher, slight romance, action, science fiction, horror, and zombie genre of literature works and movies. I love writting different genres. Iom still in the process of building myself up as a writter. Aspiring paralegal and lawyer after 15-20 years.

I am making this digital portfolio to showcase my talent in writting and my best works to specific subjects.

In working with this portfolio, i gather artifacts from google drive, private message to my teachers, and my gallery. I didn't have struggles collecting the artifacts because it's saved to where i passed it. In writting desciriptions to the artifacts, i want to hug myself because i just realized that i became more matured and open minded than what i expected. Im starting to love it and myself more than ever.

Personal Vision of Goals

10 years from now, i can see my self being a successful paralegal, studying in law school with a private library & coffee shop as a business. I will be holding different cases with my senior prosecutor while studying at law school to become a lawyer. I will have a private library as business in partnership with my favorite friend because she will have a coffee shop and we will build it inside my library to satisfy my co-bookworms' appetite. I will travel around the Philippines and then around the world. I will build my dream house at Nueva Ecija or Alegria, Cebu with 3 family capasities because i want my siblings to still be with me even if they already have their own families. I want us to stick together as long as we can. In the backyard we will have a "kubo" and hardin so that my parent's can enjoy their old days. I can see my self being alone with my family. Not having my own family but being an independent woman who can support herself and do whatever she likes whenever she want. I want to be that kind of woman, 10 years from now.

Personally, i think it's good grades and academic honors. That's one of the most precious achievement i've ever had in my life and i've been manisfesting to have a lot of them in college or even a magna cumlaude graduate from my chosen University. But the personal achievement that i have today is my finished reading fictional stories that fed up my mind and heart at the same time. Also my books that's giving butterflies in my chest whenever i look at them. I know that this is ridiculous but this is how obssessed i am with books, fictional stories and writting. Professionally, i haven't got one yet but i assure you that i will definitely have one someday. I will come back to this post and say "I told you, i can have professional achievements. With s. Thank you so much for believing yourself. We've come this far."

I will do my very best to every single thing i do. I'll do whatever it takes if i know it benefits me and the future me. I will make sure that i am responsible enough to know my limitations and my priorities in life. In that way, i can have what i wanted to have. I can make it happen. I'll just be patient and believe in myself more. Trust myself more. I am going to be successful someday, and when that day comes, it will never just be me, myself and i but me, my family, my teachers and the people who helped me to become me.

Philippine Politics and Governance

My artifacts in this subject are some activity and our Powerpoint Presentation that we discussed Module 15:Citizenship. I just wanna share this amazing subject that led me to aspire of being a law enforcer. Through out the year of studying PPG, it gave me an idea or prior knowledge rather, on how does the government of the Philippines work, especially in terms of citizenship. I remember, i discovered i couldn't afford law school. I was devastated that i've been thinking of not taking tertiary education and work instead. But then this powerful subject made me realize that being a law enforcer isn't just about being a lawyer. I can be anything else but still in the field. Being a paralegal. I included the fist activity because i feel proud of myself that i can think critically and widely in terms of governmental projects.

Introduction to World Religions

This are my best work in ths subject. To be honest, this subject personally hit me. I am christian who's known to be religous people, but my parents are Ang Dating Daan which confuse me. What am i really? Where do i really belong? I'm christian but i don't go to church every sunday. I'm not Ang Dating Daan but i listen and believe to their knowledge. It's literally confusing to the point where i've been asked by my teacher what my religion is, and i answered i don't know. It's embarsssing but that's true. I am thankful to this subject because it made me realize that it doesn't matter which and where religion you belong. What matters the most is that you know him, you trust him and you love him. That's all i know. I am not atheist because i believe in God but i think i do not belong to any religion. My answers to this activities are the answer to my teacher's question...

Trend and Critical Thinking in the 21st Century Culture

I can say that this artifact is my best work in TNCT because i can identify the problems and solutions to climate change. And also, i want to spread awareness to everyone that, we should conserve everything we have today, because nobody knows what we can have tomorrow. So let's not waste every single thing that we have on earth and instead, we help mother nature heal because that's our duty as humans.

Creative Writing

This are my best work in creative writing. I chose this artifacts because i know i did a great job in this work. I know it's not perfect but i can still have a kiss from the chef. The first 2 artifacts are from my all time favorite movie and story, Joker and Paolo. We all know joker as villain in Bruce Wayne's story but im telling you he's not. He's just hurt and society made him do so. Paolo, my all time favorite fictional character from The Ten Year Gap of Sic Santos. I want to give tribute to his kindness on earth before his death. His never ending love to Crusette and how understanding and patient he is to this stubborn brat. I don't want him dead, but that's fate according to the writter and i hate him for writting Paolo's fate just like that. The following Artifacts are true story of my life and ofcourse my dreams. I want to show people how big my dream is for my family.

Creative Nonfiction

In this subject, i chose this 2 artifacts to be included in my portfolio. I want to show everyone this short romance story i've made from the plot that was provided by my subject advicer. Second artifact, i was describing how i feel in that miserable night of my life, in a more magical way. I honestly don't want to share that moment but i thought, i should. I have this passion in writting ever since childhood, and i don't want it to die. Im afraid to lose it. I am more than happy that i chose to be a HUMSS student not just to pursue my dreams but also to nourish my talent, my beloved talent.
