the back of book blurb for our first book review! it was my choice, and i chose a book by one of my favorite authors and my partner's favorite to boot. i did most of the editing for this, and things might sound a bit janky in this first episode as i learn the ropes, but i think things will only really improve from here! give this a listen, and if it sounds neat pick up the book before the episode comes out later this month~

POV: you’ve been stationed at Camp Dragonhead and your commanding officer seems like a really nice guy but you think he might be a little repressed because it’s Coerthas and everyone dresses in like a hundred layers all the time and anyway this one adventurer rolls up in slightly tight pants one day and your commander spends the next few weeks making this face and muttering shit like “splendid” under his breath

there's also the fact that in some places marriage requires consummation of the marriage, and so this is also a struggle toward marriage equality

So many gays on Twitter are really losing their shit about the fact that apparently aces experience discrimination bc “it’s just sex, why would anyone be oppressed for not wanting it?”

It’s not about not having sex, it’s about the fact that we are seen as less human for not experiencing sexual attraction - a supposed “universal human experience” - and that often times people do not believe us for not being interested/wanting sex when the topic comes up. There’s also the fact that it can lead to sexual harassment and corrective rape if a person really doesn’t like the fact that an ace person doesn’t want to have sex. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of other issues regarding asexuals and other areas of life, but we still have to deal with it regardless if we want to or not.

Good Omens 2 feels like fanfiction not because of its contents but because the author is here on tumblr posting things like "hehe not sorry >:)" and getting hate anons

i feel like so much of this is the natural human reaction to sudden changes to plans. people intending to rob a place, even if it a spur of the moment decision, think through every step of the way and how people will react.

but people don't always react the way you expect them too. so sudden changes from the script in their head leaves them flustered and off balance, and can even lead to them deciding that this isn't worth it

Remember if you’re out at a store and someone says “This is a robbery” you can say “no it’s not” and then the robber will leave because theyre a robber and this is no longer a robbery .
