Headcanon that Dante carries around candy cigarettes, either instead of or in addition to a package of actual cigarettes, just to fuck with people. And also to have a sweet snack for later, which is probably something he could appreciate, given how often he's been dragged into Limbo.

Also apparently candy cigarettes come in chocolate and bubblegum flavors. By which I mean, candy cigarettes made of actual chocolate or actual bubblegum. Which seems kinda neat! Also, the packaging for candy cigarettes is kinda neat, too. Different names than actual cigarette brands, but some of the candy cigarette brands mimick the font/style of the actual cigarette brands that you might not be able to tell the difference, on first glance.

Idk, just seems like a nice little trickster/funny gag thing to do.

Will Dante still be a wanted criminal post-Limbo collapse? Cause I mean, sure, the majority of that was Mundus hunting for him and the damage was from Dante's fights with demons, but still, if Dante has record as a terrorist and a murderer (among other things), then it's probably gonna take more than Mundus dying and demons being revealed to the world to scrub that out, right?

Good question!

I guess it depends on the nature of how the crimes were filed. If they're just things fabricated by Mundus for Bob to distribute with no records, then the records of these crimes are probably gone. Thus meaning like, he's free.

There is also the possibility that Dante, after the game, is pardoned.

But there is also the possibility that after the collapse of Limbo into the real world, with all the mayhem that ensues with that revelation like...the old systems kind of just crumble and any record of Dantes crimes just kind of no longer matters as everyone sort of scrambles to piece together everything.

There is also the very real possibility that he still has all these crimes to his name and this can either be a problem for later or everyones just too busy dealing with everything else right now to deal with the guy who's a wanted terrorist because he's helping out in the 'our city kind of blew up and now everything's a mess' community garden.

I feel like in my post game writings I haven't really picked a solid answer but I tend to float around a mix of 'since these claims came from Mundus many are now void' and 'due to Limbo City kinda blowing up everyone is too busy with other stuff to deal with Dante's criminal status'
