You can definitely tell when I've had a bad day 😂 literally just had copious amounts of fireball and bread for dinner. Gonna drink some water and try to do better tomorrow

Dropped off for a time due to a depressive episode but I'm back in it. I know I need to eat right and exercise to help my mood and my physical pain, so here we are again! Once I've eaten a bit more I'll add a post with my meals

A little better today, huh? Worked out again for the first time in a few weeks; weight training and upper body stuff. I don't feel as shitty as usual but I *am* exhausted. And of course, waiting for the muscle soreness to fade and the subtle change in definition to come along gets difficult. Just how badly I *need* protein and water on a heavy workout day always surprises me

Yesterday, also known as "Day 1." I'm not actually going to be trying to eat more carbs than protein; I'll be going for the most protein, then carbs, then fat. It surprised me that I eat more calories when I snack than when I actually eat my meals, but I guess it makes sense. I'm snacking all day long; meals are only three times a day. Chocolate is a pretty big temptation I've noticed; the protein shakes *and* my morning cup of coffee have chocolate in them, plus I snack on chocolate chips pretty often. In the past, soda has been a big temptation, too. I just feel happy when I drink it, you know? I did notice a difference in my joint pain when I switched to diet, but I think I'd still feel better if I cut it out. Yesterday was my first day without any soda, diet or otherwise. I'm proud but, kind of wary. It's very easy to just see a soda and justify guzzling it down immediately

Hey all I'm just a trans dude who's worked out and eaten a shit ton of protein for about a year, and noticed I've actually built up some muscle on my shoulders. But, I want to gain more, and I'm not able to do so. I figure I'm a "hardgainer". So, I downloaded a fitness and diet app to actually keep track of what I'm eating and what exercise I'm doing, and I'm creating this blog to monitor my changes. Turns out, I'm actually not eating anywhere close to the amount of calories I actually need to gain weight- so, here we go
