i'm feeling a mixture of big sad and burned out lately but i also just watched an hour long retroclaude video where she did painting by numbers and while watching it i managed to reknit all the rows of this mitten i was making that i had to rip back last night after making a mistake and i get to go in to work late tomorrow so i guess it's not all that bad

#i mean i'm only going in late bc i am racking up a lot of time in lieu and it makes my boss nervous lmao #but u know we keep on keeping on #fldx 24

lmao so i went back to her to hold my ground and say i could only do these dates and she still said no and was like can you take one week (instead of three) and i was like.

and then she said okay u do need to take annual leave though have you considered taking fridays off to use up some? as if taking long weekends is the same as taking annual leave

and as if i don’t already use fridays as the training time owed to me ie i have to work/study on fridays in any case so it’s not like i’d actually have the day off

work has been absolutely horrific lately and my master’s units have started back up and all i’ve had to look forward to is my leave which my bosses said i could take at any time, so i’d planned to take most of august off!

only for my boss to tell me i can’t take one of the weeks in the middle of my planned leave off because she’ll be on her own 🫠 like my guy, you literally said any time would work but apparently now it won’t?

and her solution was seeing if my partner can move his leave (he can’t), or if i’m willing to split my leave (ie take a week before and a few weeks after) which i also cannot because my friend is having a milestone birthday and i had planned to end my leave with her party 🥲

anyway i can’t figure out a solution and this sucks but u know whatever whatever whatever
