OK so this is the whole AI situation summarized
• AIs have already been scraping data from sites for free for years
• Companies got pissed at this a little too late and are now trying to put it behind a paywall by offering things like data packs in paid partnerships
• Your data wasn't safe before or now
• Capitalism babey

hi y'all
with the recent ai deal i am debating what to do. i may take all my posts currently up down, run them through glaze and nightshade and upload them again. if i do do that, im planning to wait a bit and draw a ton of flowers so as to fill out these two month's worth. i've taken a break day from studying today and can draw the flowers relatively quickly in 15-20 minutes with colouring and outlining.i will keep you all updated on what i decide to do
stay safe and
go to your settings -> visibility and consider enabling the "prevent third-party sharing for [your blog]". it's off by default so that they can give your stuff to third parties, including but not limited to the AI people
even if you don't post art yourself, your reblog of art will be counted as a separate post and most likely not honour the visibility setting switched off at the op's end

Happy valentines day everybody! today's flower is a rose
Tumblr media
But ive chosen not to colour it in. I personally am aromantic, so red roses are not that fun for me.
i like the yellow ones for they mean friendship
but the rose overall is meant to represent love. not focusing on any one type of love, but to represent most.
so today's rose is colourless, and you are free to imagine it in any colour
here's a site that talks about the different colour meanings: https://www.color-meanings.com/colors-of-roses-what-do-they-mean/

Today's flower's existence is debated
Tumblr media
Today, i've drawn a blue orchid
Now, rare species of the orchid flowers are blue, specifically Vanda Orchid, with its purpleish blue hue.
However, blue orchid you might find at a florists might be white orchids dyed with blue colour.
The beautiful blue orchid is considered by many to be symbolic of rarity and being one of a kind. It also signifies abundance in luxury, wealth, peace, and eternal hope.

Today's flower is the deadly oleander! Scientific name Nerium Oleander
Tumblr media
Oleander, scientifically known as Nerium oleander, is a flowering shrub that belongs to the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. Native to the Mediterranean region, oleander is widely cultivated for its attractive flowers and ornamental value.
In ancient times, oleander was highly regarded for its medicinal properties. The ancient Greeks and Romans used extracts from the plant to treat a wide range of ailments, including heart conditions, asthma, and epilepsy. The plant’s therapeutic value was also recognized in traditional Chinese medicine, where it was used to alleviate digestive issues and reduce inflammation.
oleander became a symbol of love and romance, often used to express affection and adoration.
However, oleander’s symbolic significance isn’t limited to positive connotations. In some cultures, the plant is associated with deception and betrayal.
Every part of the oleander plant contains toxic compounds, but some parts are more potent than others. Here are the parts of the plant that pose the greatest risk:
Leaves: The leaves of the oleander plant contain cardiac glycosides, which are toxic to the heart. These compounds interfere with the normal pumping of the heart, leading to irregular heart rhythms and potentially fatal consequences if ingested.
Stems: The stems of the oleander plant also contain cardiac glycosides, although in lower concentrations compared to the leaves. While the stems may not be as toxic as the leaves, they should still be handled with caution to avoid any potential adverse effects.
Flowers: Surprisingly, even the beautiful flowers of the oleander plant are toxic. They contain the same cardiac glycosides as the leaves and stems, making them equally dangerous if ingested.
Seeds: The seeds of the oleander plant are highly toxic and should be avoided at all costs. Ingesting the seeds can lead to severe poisoning and even death.

Today's flower is a Catnip, scientific name Nepeta cataria.
Tumblr media
Known to drive feline insane, this plant is native to southern and eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and parts of China. It is widely naturalized in northern Europe, New Zealand, and North America.
The names catnip and catmint are derived from the intense attraction about two-thirds of cats have toward it (alternatives exist, such as valerian root and leaves). Catnip is also an ingredient in some herbal teas (or tisanes), and is valued for its sedative and relaxant properties.
