You didn't know what exactly brought you to the clone bar 79s that night. Maybe it was your too-drunk friends, who wanted to meet some clones in real life.

Anyway, because you decided to sit down at the bar, forgot, and abandoned by your friends.

"Oh no, I'm okay. I just got dragged out here away from my reports by my brothers. They said I should work less and enjoy my life a little, although I hate this place. I think at the moment they are on the dance floor if you search for one of them" he said in a rather serious tone.

"No, I just wanted to talk to you since you seemed so stressed and lonely. On top of that, I can relate to you, 'cause I don't even know why I came with my friends here in the first place" you laughed at him while taking a sip of your drink.

"How about we get out of here then? I don't think my vode nor your friends will miss us" he smirked at you.

"I'm Rex, Captain of the 501st, and what about you Meshla?" the handsome Captain wanted to know.

You just saw his eyes widen at your statement. "Thank you. Not a lot of civilians have this opinion about us or even thank us for keeping them safe. So I appreciate your thought behind it, but my vode and I were made for this purpose" he explained while his eyes darkened.

"You all are so much more than that Rex and all of you should be treated like heroes and nothing less," you told him as reached a nearby park.

"Thank you y/n. That means a lot to me" he said while looking into your eyes. The stars of the night made his hazel-colored eyes shine in bright light. Both of you stared into each other eyes till Rex suddenly cleared his throat.

"Ehm it's getting late. Do you want me to walk you home?" he asked you looking at the sky.

"Sure" did you make him uncomfortable?

You two reached your entry as you turned around to him. The way to your home was full of entertaining stories of Rex and a lot of laughter.

"Did I make you feel some kind of uncommfort as we were in the park? You seemed tensed after we had eye contact." you wanted to know.

"I was just nervous, 'cause you looked so pretty in the moonlight and I really wanted to kiss you. But before I would do anything like that I wanted to take you out on a date" Rex explained.

"Oh, I didn't think about it in that way," you admitted surprised.

"I want to take it slow with you because I feel a special connection between us and I want to make everything right for you. So please let me take to date the next time I'm planetside." Rex holds both of your hands while explaining his plans.

"Alright, then we're having a date next time. But wait, Rex?"

"Yes?" he stopped walking away and turned to face you again.

"What does meshla mean?"

"It means beautiful because you are. I'll comm you as soon as I'm back. Good night y/n" he smirked as he get going.

"Good night Captain. Can't wait to see you again"
