“I’m sorry, baby. Wanted to surprise you.”

“Well, consider me surprised.” Tony smiles wobbly, wet against Bucky’s cheek. He could taste the salt of Tony’s tears as they mingle with the rain.

It just so happens that Tony misunderstands Bucky’s clandestine dancing lessons as signs he doesn’t want to get married. Bucky puts that ridiculous thought to rest straight away.

Not one to hold back on grandiose declarations of love, Bucky proposes right then and there, outside in the pouring rain where any moment a car will pass by and soak them even further. Seeing the shy smile that stretches across Tony’s face, he can’t think of a reason why he didn’t asked sooner.

Yeah, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

This sounds like a trap to get you guys to reblog art and fics and gifs which yes that’s an added benefit but also the way you get a feel of followers or mutuals is the little comments in the tags of a post like subtle little whispers and you start to recognise names like oh that’s the one who’s always nice to artists or that’s the funny one or maybe they have a funny queue pun tag or maybe there can be a little prev tags interaction like that’s how you start creating your own little likeminded souls club here. Also you get to put pretty art and fics and gifs on your blog

someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic

I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS

I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?

the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"
