I fix my hair and look into the mirror
I fix my hair and I talk to it
Like my mother talks to me about my father
Askin why you can’t just do what I ask you to be what I ask of you
Why do you have to do all that weird shit?
I answer to my mother that it’s because he’s a man but know In my heart he’s as likely to process her requests as my hair is
So it just keeps doing all that weird shit
I learned anxious budgeting of every dime down to the last grain of rice from my mother, too.
I learned recklessly spending it anyway from my father and sometimes I think that the two halves of my brain are no more than them arguing about the finances after we got kicked out of the apartment and whisper yelling when they think we can’t hear. We can.
And so when my mother gives me a look that says “what did you say about him being no more than a man again?” I roll my eyes with her and feel the momma in my head roll her shoulders in triumph while the daddy in my mind wonders what she possibly could have won
I stop fucking with my hair to go get my wallet- maybe a new at-home dye job will fix it
-me, just now (completely un edited)

If you can't wash it off, paint over it, replace the item, or buff it out, turn a message of hate into one of love! I would never condone someone to do this discreetly and in mere seconds with a quickly concealed permanent marker, for example on a public bench or bus stop. Certainly not anything like whipping out a tat machine and adding to an unconscious white supremacist's existing tattoo. That would be illegal! :) And, dear followers, I would never encourage you to do something that's illegal. So, please only use this when someone has defaced your personal property to avoid breaking the law! Because that would be illegal, and following in the law is always in everyone's best interest. :) .... :) reblogs and even reposts definitely welcome

Should you steal it? Legally? No. Morally? Well, I‘ll leave that up to you but here’s a quick and simple guide if you’re considering it.

LMAO LITERALLY
I love the phrase “he would not fucking say that”. Truly encapsulates the number of times I have read a fic where a character would not fucking say that

Haven't seen goncharov (1973) yet? In that case go watch it RIGHT NOW, but if you don't have the time for a 3h 32mins film (which is understandable but you have to make the time at some point) and you want to understand the memes I have you covered. (Keep in mind that there are gonna be important spoilers in this post)
Important characters:
Goncharov
Katya Michailov - Goncharov's wife
Andrey - Goncharov's lover (or almost)
Sofia - Katya's lover
Minor characters
Mario Ambrosini
Ice pick Joe
Valery Michailov - Katya's brother
Important scenes
The Boat Scene: a scene in which Katya almost dies.
Beer Bottle Scene: an infamous scene in the movie
Anchovy scene: a scene with heavy homoerotic subtext between Goncharov and Andrey
Dressing for dinner scene: a scene where Katya and Andrey are shown dressing up with cuts that give each of the things they wear the same importance as survival items, from Katya's high heels to Andrey's dagger
Bridge scene: goodbye scene between Katya and Goncharov. Beautifully made as you can see Katya second guessing her choice to betray him but she's too far in to turn back
Fruit stand scene: a heavily homoerotic conversation between Katya and Sofia while they are buying apples
Important plot points
Katya betrays Goncharov
Andrey betrays him too for money
Goncharov has betrayed Katya's family too, and Andrey is a living reminder of that
Goncharov is shot at the end, resulting in his death
Katya fakes her death at one point
Katya's father is killed at the beginning of the movie and she feels responsible for it for almost the entire movie, until she finally accepts that there was nothing more she could have done to save him, only to die alone in the boathouse
Even though Katya loves Goncharov, when she has to choose between him and Sofia, she chooses Sofia
There is a love triangle between Goncharov, Andrey and Katya too
Other important things
The clock symbolism is just so important in this film it deserved to be here

look i call myself queer for a couple of reasons, not all immediately obvious to the "queer is a slur" crowd.
like there's the immediate implication of this does not require me to explain my labels to you, but also the secondary implication of my existence as a radical statement. when queer people started calling themselves queer, it was an act of public defiance and rebellion.
queer says I don't need to justify myself to you or anyone, queer says I exist and I won't shut up about it, queer says we are a community and you cannot draw arbitrary dividing lines between us. queer is a good word for queer people.
when I find people who call themselves queer, I know they are the ones who won't try to say anyone doesn't belong in our community, that they will defend gay rights with trans rights, that they will stand up against the oppression that we all face, even if it doesn't affect them directly.
so yeah, i love being queer, calling myself queer, talking about the queer community, queer studies and queer theory and queer history. and I'm not going to stop because some of you think it's a slur.

btw nonbinary people can do whatever they want and u should support and respect them. if a nonbinary person likes to be called boy or man or boyfriend or king, that doesn’t make them less nonbinary. if a nonbinary person likes to be called girlfriend or princess or lady or woman, that doesn’t make them any less nonbinary. if a nonbinary person dresses like their agab is expected to dress, passes perfectly as a binary gender, doesn’t want to physically transition or uses pronouns other than they/them, that doesn’t make them any less nonbinary. nonbinary is an umbrella term and the people who fall under it aren’t always gonna be how you expect a nonbinary person to be!! that’s fine!! isn’t it wonderful that there are so many different ways to be nonbinary? if someone says they’re nonbinary, believe them and respect their identity. don’t waste your time on this planet getting mad at other peoples’ gender expression.

OCD is not an adjective, stop using it as one. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is NOT being a person who prefers organization and order, OCD is a serious disorder that can cause severe distress and it can impair one's ability to function in life.
