Vulva art is terfy, uterus art is terfy and now breast art is terfy. We really can't celebrate any part of our body without some man calling it terfy.

When I say ‘free all women’, this is what I mean:
Every woman must be in complete control of her person (right to bodily sanctity and complete reproductive control from birth until death)
Every woman must be free to pursue education (literacy)
Every woman must have the opportunity to make a living wage (and not be forced to cohabitate with violent abusive males to stave off homelessness and rape)
Every woman must be able to create, barter for, or purchase her needs
Images of degraded or dehumanized women must not be entertainment. Our oppression must no longer be masturbation fodder
Women must have unequivocal determination over who has access to our physical, emotional, and mental selfhood and labour

So why do you hate the advertising industry?
Hokay so.
Let me preface this with some personal history. It's not relevant to the sins of the advertising industry perse but it illustrates how I started to grow to hate it.
I wanted to be a veterinarian growing up, but to be a vet you basically have to be good enough to get into medical school. I do not have the math chops or discipline to make it in medical school. I went into art instead, and in a desperate attempt to find some commercial viability that didn't involve moving to California, I went into graphic design.
I've been a graphic designer for about seven or eight years now and I've worn a lot of hats. One of them was working in a print shop. Now, the print shop had a lot of corporate customers who had various ad campaigns. One of them was Gate City Bank, which had a bigass stack of postcards ordered every couple months to mail to their customers.
Now, paper comes from Dakota Paper, and they make their paper the usual way. Somewhere far, far from our treeless plain there is a forest of tall trees. These trees are cut down and put on big fossil fuel burning trucks and hauled to a paper mill that turns them into pulp while spewing the most fowl odors imaginable over the neighboring town and loads the pulp up with bleach to give it a nice white color.
Then the paper is put on yet another big truck and hauled off to the local paper depot, then put on another big truck and delivered to my print shop, where I turned the paper into postcards telling people to go even deeper into debt to buy a boat because it's almost summer. The inks used are a type of nasty heat sensitive plastic that is melted to the surface of the paper with heat. Then the postcards are put on yet ANOTHER truck and sent to the bank, which puts them on ANOTHER truck and finally into the hands of their customers, who open their mail and take one look at the post card and immediately discard it.
Heaps and heaps and literal hundreds of pounds of literal garbage created at the whim of the marketing team several times a year. And thats just one bank in one city.
I came to realize very quickly that graphic design was the delicate art of turning trees into junk mail.
And wouldn't you know it there are a TON of companies that basically only do junk mail. Many of them operate under the guise of a "charity," sending you pictures of suffering children or animals and begging for handouts and when they get those handouts the executives take a nice fat cut, give some small token amount to whatever cause they pay lip service to, and then put the rest of the cash right back into making more mailers. "Direct mail marketing" they call it.
Oh but maybe it's not so bad, you can advertise online after all. Now that there's decent ad blocker out there and better anti-virus ads usually don't destroy your computer anymore just by existing.
Except now when I search for the exact business I want on Google it's buried under three or four different "promoted search items" tricking me into clicking on them only to shoot themselves in the foot because I searched for the specific result I wanted for a reason and couldn't use those other websites even if I felt like it.
And now we have advertising on YouTube and on every streaming service, forcing more and more eyes onto the ad for the brand new Buick Envision that parks itself because you're too stupid to do it on your own.
Oh thats ok maybe I'll get Spotify premium and go ad free and listen to some podcasts- SIKE we have the hosts of your show doing the song and dance now. Are you depressed and paranoid from listening to my true crime podcast about murdered and mutilated teenagers? That's ok, my sponsor Better Help can keep you sane enough to stay alive and spend more money.
It's gotten so terrible that now you have content farms, huge hubs of shell companies that crank out video after video to get more and more precious clicks. Which if the videos were innocuous maybe that wouldn't be so awful except now you have cooking hacks that can actually burn your house down and craft hacks that can electrocute you being flung into your eyes at the speed of mach fuck so some slimy internet clickbait jockey doesn't need to get a real job.
It of course goes without saying that animals are also relentlessly exploited by clickbait companies that will put them in compromising situations on purpose to create a fake fishing hack video or even just straight up killing them for sport by feeding small animals to a pufferfish that rips them apart for the camera.
And all of this, ALL of this doesn't even touch how adveritising is the death of art in general. Queer topics, any kind of interesting art, any kind of sex or substance use topics are scrubbed clean and hidden at the behest of advertisers.
Sex education, a nude statue, topics such as racism or sexism or bigotry in general have tags purged or hidden from search, even life saving information about SDTs or drug use, because if someone saw that and complained then Verizon might sell fewer tablets and we can't fucking have that.
Conservative talking heads often bitch and moan that they're being censored on social media. The stupid part is, they're right! They are being censored! But it's not by a woke mob, it's by ATT and Coca Cola not wanting their adspace sharing screen time with their stupid fucking opinions.
However, they won't ever figure that out, because the talking heads they get their marching orders from like Tucker and Jones ALSO rely on the sweet milk flowing from the sponsorship teat and they aren't about to turn on their meal ticket so they have to come up with even stupider shit to say for the train to continue rolling.
I managed to rant this far without even getting into the ads I see for the beauty industry. The other day a botox ad described wrinkles as "moderate to severe crows feet" as if wrinkles are a symptom of a fucking serious disease! Like having a flaw in your skin is a medical problem that you need thousands of dollars of literal botulism toxin to fix! I was incandescent with anger.
Advertising is a polluting, censoring, anti educational and anti art industry at it's very core. It destroys human connections, suppresses human thought and makes us hate our own bodies. It ads no value, actively detracts from value, and serves no real purpose and I believe it should be almost if not entirely banned.

It's monstrous how much boys and men love tormenting girls and women. The way so many boys and men actually love scaring and upsetting girls and women on purpose because they think it's funny.
I'm thinking specifically about how I have some phobias of bugs, and I specifically have to hide that from men because once they find out they purposely show me the bugs I'm afraid of to torment me because they think it's funny and cute to torment and upset a woman. Like when one of my male co-workers at my old job found out I was arachnophobic after that he made a point of if he found a spider in the store he'd purposely try to shove it in my face because he thought it was funny and cute to scare me and make me upset. I've had multiple instances of grown male co-workers behaving like this but never a grown female co-worker. Sure, I'm sure there's at least a few grown women in the world out there like that, but for the most part this behavior is only seen in small girls but quickly corrected and beat out of her while men are still tormenting women for fun as grown adults.
Or my mother has a pretty bad phobia of frogs, and she told me a story about how when she was a little girl some boys found out, and they specifically made it a point to collect frogs from outside to throw at her. One time they cornered her in the bathroom and threw buckets of frogs at her, she was sobbing and shaking and having a full blown panic attack while they were laughing. It was for no other reason than they thought it was funny to make a girl upset and scared.
And this ties in with how often if a girl or woman asks a boy or man to stop doing something that bothers her or annoys her they double down and start doing the behavior even more just because they want to upset girls and women. Like schoolgirls asking the boy next to her to stop drumming with his pencils because it's distracting her from being able to pay attention to class, how likely is it he'll actually stop vs just doing it even more loudly and frequently just to bother her? If this is a lifelong pattern for girls this makes girls back off and less likely to stand up to boys and men.
If a girl has for years had a pattern of every time she asks the boys in her class to stop drumming with their pencils while she's trying to pay attention or stop saying gross sexual jokes that make her uncomfortable to her during class or stop poking her and every time they just double down and start doing it even more and even louder or harder just to upset her, is she going to keep asking boys to stop doing things that bother her? Is she going to feel comfortable and safe standing up for herself and asserting her boundaries? Or is she going to get quiet and stop speaking up and hope for the love of god they don't notice the annoyance on her face because if they do that's enough just to make them double down and start doing it more to bother her?
I've seen countless examples of men purposely making women so scared or upset or angry that they're in tears for no other reason than fun and entertainment. Boys and men are fucking sadistic demons. And this keeps girls and women in line, keeps girls and women from being able to stand up for ourselves and assert our personal boundaries to boys and men.

When talking about aromanticism there tends to be a lot of emphasis on the basic idea of “you can be happy without romance,” which is a true but underwhelming sentiment. Yes, you can be happy without romance, in the same way you can be happy without liking certain types of foods or certain hobbies and the like.
But being aromantic is beyond that. Aromanticism isn’t just “not bad” or “not lesser” or “not a tragedy.” Being aromantic is beautiful, and joyful, and fun.
Being aromantic means realizing that the life you’re expected to want is not what you ACTUALLY want and so, it is the freedom and exhilaration of figuring out what you want and forging your own path through life. Aromanticism is the deeply personal process of examining your feelings and finding your own priorities in life. It’s looking at your relationships and refusing to label them, instead letting them exist as they are and focusing not on what your relationships “are supposed to look like” but rather, what you WANT them to look like. It’s making your own decisions on what sort of relationships are important to you, refusing to let anyone make that choice on your behalf.
Aromanticism is the rejection of the expectation that you should water yourself down into something more palatable so that others might be attracted to you. It’s knowing that the way you look, the way dress, the way you behave and present yourself are for your own sake, not anyone else’s.
It’s the relief of not having to worry about relationship drama, because you’re single and happy to be single.
It’s the sense of joy and community that comes with slipping a white ring on your left hand middle finger.
It’s existing for yourself. It is knowing that you don’t need any “other half” because you are whole.
It’s whatever you want it to be, because aromanticism the journey towards your own form of happiness, whatever that may mean for you.

there’s something i want people to understand as i blog about my detrans experience and thoughts on feminism: i wasnt someone who was wrong about being trans and now i have the wrong idea of the trans community. you have to understand that i was trans. i am trans. i still have dysphoria. i had every making of a trans person. i lived in that community for 5 years. i lived with that ”trans experience” my whole life, and detransitioning now doesnt mean all of that never happened
but transitioning wasnt the answer. maybe transitioning is the answer for some people, but i think its the answer for a lot fewer people than we think.
i was a young girl with an ED. i was a young autistic girl who was inadvertantly emotionally neglected because no one understood what i needed, nor did i know how to connect to other girls. i was gnc. all i knew was ”i am not enough, i want to have a community. but i dont want to be like those girls. im nothing like them”.
i was under the impression that the way women presented were all ways women wanted to present. i thought it was like a natural instinct to them. all the makeup, the dresses, the jewelry. i thought i was the only one who hated it.
i didnt get crushes like the other girls. i didnt want the attention of the boys. i developed breasts and got my period younger than most. i hated every minute of it, i hated having breasts, but i thought other girls were excited about it as a mark of ”womanhood”
what i needed as a young girl was feminism. i needed to know that there was nothing wrong with me. that these are ways to be a woman; that everything i thought womanhood was was artificial and forced on us. i needed a community of women that wasnt built around those artificial constructs. maybe then i wouldntve come to the conclusion, in the lowest point in my life, that maybe i just wasnt a woman. and coming to that conclusion felt freeing. it felt like id found a space to be myself without all the bullshit i thought i ”had” to be. i didnt have to be a woman anymore. but dysphoria eats you. its never satisfied. it wants change after change after change. more surgery, more hormones, lose some weight, gain some muscle. i got tired and burnt out.
with all the trans people i connected to over the years and shared similar stories, i feel like some are in this same boat as me. this is a trans experience. so i think it deserves weight in discussions about trans people

Y'all ever think about how children's media is the only media to really put priority to friendship (ex: the power of friendship) and how once you grow up media starts to shift towards a focus on romantic love and sexual relationships and how that kind of puts out this idea that valuing friendship is a childish thing you need to grow out of and replace with romance and sex cause I do.

The Black Trowel Collective, a group of American archaeologists, claimed there are suggestions that many historical cultures had more than two genders and so archaeologists should be "wary of projecting our modern sex and gender identity categories onto past individuals".
The group claimed scientists have a "long history of imposing modern patriarchal gender and sexual norms onto the past".
"Human gender is highly variable and... human beings have historically been comfortable with a range of genders beyond modern 'masculine' and 'feminine' binaries," the group wrote in a blog post.
The Daily Mail claims that some academics are beginning to label ancient human skeletons as 'non-binary' or 'gender neutral'.
The idea has been criticised by historian Jeremy Black, who said gender is key to understanding history.
"It is an absurd proposition as the difference between genders, just as the difference between religious, social and national groups, are key motors in history," he told the Daily Mail.
"This very ideological approach to knowledge means that we're in danger of making knowledge itself simply a matter of political preference."

Life continues to imitate parody. 🤡
"projecting our modern sex and gender identity categories onto past individuals"
Current gender woo is the invention and imposition of bored, modern first-world academic elites, which makes this absurdly ironic.
"we're in danger of making knowledge itself simply a matter of political preference."
This is literally the postmodern, social constructivist belief and objective.
No one ever needs to respond to this deranged ideology with anything other than "no."
