Rex agoutis are a nightmare cause my old man is balding and has these weird black patches and was freaking out for a sec. He sat still long enough between wiggling for me to realize its fur and not an abscess or discoloration.

Went back to nyc for a day. Rats there have glossy fur and sparkly eyes. Only creature thriving there. Not particularly fat though but definitely well fed.

I am only getting enrichment from the pet store. My poor boy. Pinkified.

Whelp two of my rat’s bellies are pink which I can only assume is porphyrin? Cafe is all white though and not pink and Souffle is orange from 2 years of buck grease (obviously) which makes this a big mystery.

My only guess it’s spring and warm weather means more snuffles though none of them are snuffly.

My rats are now completely bright pink and I think it was the fake grass I gave them as enrichment lol they’re not sick at least.

Threw it all out.
