Why is it always Nico thrown back to his 10 year-old body after they lost to Gaea and never 16 year-old Nico thrown back to the TLO battle against Kronos?

Everyone wondering why there’s a 12 year-old (I think) Nico over there with Hades, Demeter, and Persephone and a 16 year-old Nico right next to Kronos

Undecided if Nico knows why he’s there.

Was this Kronos bringing him back in time because he thinks Nico would help him turn the tides for whatever reason? (Maybe Nico has a less fortunate fate)

Was this a last measure to change the future (if they lost to Gaea)?

OR MAYBE it can be one of those where Nico’s shadow travel takes him to an alternate universe/time period and that’s how he ends up here

I hate how people are only okay with my disorders when I'm masking. I tell them that I have low empathy, even to people close to me, and they say it's okay. But then I show no empathy towards them, and they get mad. I tell them that it's very hard to bring myself to care about most things, and they say that it's okay. And then I don't care about them, and they get mad. I tell them that I don't understand social norms, and they say it's okay. And then I misinterpret something they do or show my aversion to it and how silly I find it, and they get mad. People only like me when I'm masking. I wish I could be myself.

I DON'T CARE about the Percy vs. Jason discourse. It's STUPID. They are both very powerful heroes with great accomplishment who had their childhoods stolen (then later had the lives they made ripped away for "the greater good")

At the end of the day, Jason never mattered to the Romans the same way the Greeks cared about Percy. JASON WAS THEIR LEADER THEIR NUMBER ONE WARRIOR. Percy was A GREAT leader but not in the way Jason was THE leader (alongside Reyna).

And when Percy went missing his camp never stopped looking for him, they scoured the earth and underworld for him.

When Jason went missing, no one looked for him. There was no search party, no loved ones stricken with grief praying the unthinkable didnt happen with every passing moment, no one who cared enough to drop everything that mattered to them for a seemingly hopeless search. He was accepted as DEAD and there was no sort of funeral/memorial service for him. He was REPLACED!! BY PERCY!!!

Need fanfics in which whereas Nico is Jason’s hero. Like, literally. As in. They have come to a point where Jason trusts Nico so much that when he’s in danger, he believes that Nico can save him and he will. And it’s a new feeling to someone who’s been forged to be the exemplary soldier, the leader. It’s good to allow yourself to rely on others - like Jason always hopes Nico to know that he could ask for help should need be.

Anw everyone thinks Jason would never fall but Nico says “Stay there. I’m coming to save you” and Jason immediately swoons like a damsel in distress. 😩😩

What if this was my final straw?

Imagine Jason approaching Nico to confess he's choosing rebirth over Elysium.

The reason why is because he never felt like the life he lived was ever his (y'know, what with being taken from his family and being raised as the champion of a god and child soldier) and so he wants a do-over. He wants a normal life, where he doesn't have to be a pawn in someone's chess game.

Meanwhile, as he is explaining this, Nico is trying to ignore just how eerily similar it feels to Bianca's situation, because what life did she live beyond taking care of him? Her life was never hers either. Still, he offers, against the screaming in his head, to see Jason through the rebirth process. The lost hero accepts. After all, not many can say they had the Ghost King personally send them off into the waking world.

"I'm gonna miss you," Jason says. Nico laughs, but there's no happiness behind it. They're behind the River Lethe now.

"No you won't," he murmurs, knowing the river's power firsthand, "but I will."

When Jason forgets and his soul is taken to a place no mortal can't follow, Nico fades into the shadows and wills himself to reappear before a small camp. He doesn't flinch when the hunters of Artemis point their arrows at him reflexively. It only takes a couple of seconds before the bows slowly lower once the girls recognize him.

Bianca's little brother.

Thalia tells them to stand down, walking forward and looking at him with electric blue eyes that are both distant yet knowing. They remind him of Jason's, though his were not as harsh or striking. They used to be gentle. comforting.

He will never see those eyes again.

"He chose rebirth," Nico chokes out, "Thalia, he's, he's gone."

And suddenly he's ten years old again, betrayed and grieving. Thalia catches him as he collapses to his knees, and he cries in her arms, inconsolable.

Why him?

Why her?

He doesn't know who he is referring to anymore.

Artemis ushers the other girls away with a neutral face, but she too is shaken by the sight of the demigods. The grief of her lieutenant and the son of Hades remind her of the fear that seized her when her brother was exiled, of what could have been when he was turned human. When the cries from the children of the Big Three reach her own tent, Artemis swears on the River Styx that she will never allow herself and Apollo to come close to such a fate ever again.

They are a tragic sight to behold, Nico di Angelo and Thalia Grace — a younger brother and older sister that don't belong to one another, yet holding onto each other like they do. As the daughter of Zeus's tears seap into his jacket, Nico briefly wonders that if Thalia is all he has left, then maybe it would be nice if Jason and Bianca had each other. As friends, perhaps. Siblings, even.

If the Fates had been listening in when he thought that, there was nobody present with them to know.

Nico and Jason were in a relationship before Jason’s memories were erased. And Jason proposed.

The Cupid scene is done with Leo and they have hot and cold, tiny best friend moments.

When Leo dies Nico becomes somewhat depressed and confused because Nico got attached on the Argo II. But Nico promised Leo that he would confess to both Percy and Jason after he gets over Jason. Upon Leo’s encouragement Nico also began to build a new platonic relationship with Percy and Jason.

The Will and Nico scene still happens. The three day infirmary stay still happens. Solangelo still happens.

When Nico and Will begin dating Nico shows Will 2 chests hidden under his bed in the Underworld. The first chest is navy blue with gold accents. It only holds one of Percy’s blue hoodies. And a detailed and colored drawing of blue cake. The second chest is black but has royal purple fire ombré. This second chest is almost full. It has all the keepsakes from Jason and Nico’s forgotten relationship. The engagement ring is kept in a special compartment in the chest. While showing Will these items Nico is essentially letting go of his past and moving on. When Will accepted what happened and was really sympathetic Nico told him that he would tell Jason and Percy about the past feelings.

The next day, Nico did so and both Jason and Percy were shocked. (Nico used the same “you’re not my type” line)

After this confession Jason and Piper broke up and Jason went on the quest. During the quest he drank a vial of gorgon blood and regained his memories of Nico, simultaneously regaining his feelings as well. But it was too late, Nico already moved on with Will.

Then Jason voluntarily sacrifices himself and never gets to verbally lay out his regrets. Some time later someone found a series of letters/notes meant for Nico. The all the letters were to thank Nico for loving him, to apologize for the pain he caused, and to tell Nico that Jason stilled loved him. Jason’s engagement ring was under all of the letters (Jason looked for it after regaining his memories).
