Taking some time to myself

Hey there! I been pondering a lot in the past 3 months about what i do here online. I know Tumblr been a bit more on the silent side as my main platform has been Instagram as of late.

No matter the platform, i been feeling a LOTof burnout from putting way too much expectations on myself trying to start a lil shop which as been a long time dream of mine, trying to keep posting, stretching myself too thin with too many projects (which usually fell through bc of this).

But being unprepared and just diving head first obviously wasn't the best choice, especially that I'm struggling to neeche down properly. Which caused way more headache then I imagined. (guess doing what I want is not always the option...)

I have been in a constant mindset of "that could be content!" but in the end I always overwhelmed myself and got nowhere, leaving games to rot in my steam library or buying supplies for projects I never do and so on, because I "could make a video out of it".

I still want to create and I love to create, I love sharing what I do and I would love to build a community of like minded people and help others through their creative endevours. But right now I feel like I need some time away from social media to really figure out what i want to do and properly execute it, because right now my head is just a jumbled mess.

I prbably won't be gone completely, because I want to keep in touch with friends at least. But I really need time to rethink things and devise a plan that i can stick to and work with without driwing myself crazy.

So, in conclusion, i won't be far away, but I think I will probably be closing shop and commissions on my ko-fi soon and also give myself time to grow and learn without the added pressure of posting online.

I hope anyone reading this can understand what I'm trying to ramble together here.

The leaves are browning and the weather is turning cold. October is here and we shell celebrate with spooky knights! Day one of #katknightober2023 our first prompt is Occult.

I had many many ideas for this prompt, was thinking of witches especially the crones from witcher 3, how would a soldier of theirs look like? Would they be...undead solders raised from their slumber by magic?

Rusted gauntlet with long and sharp nails, learher armor of questionable origins and a chainmale curtain hiding a face unfathomable to the human eyes.

Ti's the 2nd prompt of my knightober, Vampire. Hope you all like it

For this knight I wanted to pull both from fantasy vampire elements and historical ones too from Dracula's time. Well, guess which one had a more prominent influence on me and the design.

As for weapon, well, I decided that non would be necessary as vampires boast inhumane strength, so why not just have a sturdy and pointy gauntlet they can just punch things?

FREE SWATCH CARD

Why not start the new year right with organizing your art supplies and have a nice swatch card with them?

I made a free printable swatch card just for that and you can find it at my ko-fi

So let's talk about the cards. I suggest printing them at A5 size with paper that suits you media well (eg: 190g/m² watercolor paper for your water based media)

You can use this for pretty much any art supply as you have 1 extra row for each color and one extra space at the bottom so you can add any extra info (such as light fastness or even score it for yourself, add notes and so on!)
