We’re nearing the summer season here in Australia and I think spring cleaning is the best way to prepare for a new season and new year.
After a long year of many activities, our family home always gets renovated one way or another. And the best way to keep our yard clean and organised amidst all the rubbish we collect is with skip bins.

Kitchen benchtops, anybody?
I love marble kitchen benchtops but I have to say, laminated benchtops are also excellent at being extremely durable from wear and tear whilst still being aesthetically pleasing for the kitchen area.

Effective waterproofing
Let’s talk about effective and efficient waterproofing options for a second. Torch on membrane waterproofing is one of the best methods you will ever find out there. It is especially great for balconies and flat roofs but can be installed in different surfaces too.
Winning trait? They’re environmentally-friendly! That’s right - non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. Gotta love that.

Patios!
Because rural homes in Australia tend to have a bigger lot area, I think big houses would look even more impressive and have higher value if a patio is installed.
Here are reasons why a patio for your home will offer many benefits.

Impossible Cityscapes Benjamin Sack
At the Direktorenhaus Museum in Berlin this past week, a solo exhibition of detailed architectural drawings by Virginia-based artist Benjamin Sack opened to the public. Titled Labyrinths, the collection of new works features vast cityscapes comprised of impossible inner-geometries. The maze-like urban maps reference musical compositions and various symbols found in cosmology.

Lawn care tip
If you’re looking for an eco-friendly, cost efficient and reliable solution for protecting your lush turf, I personally recommend grass reinforcement products.
Reinforcement mesh materials are really durable and easily-installed. You’ll see a healthier and more lush lawn just after a few weeks from application!

Music recommendation: Sleeping At Last songs
I only discovered this artist a few months ago and instantly fell in love with all the songs.
SAL releases different themed music like space, Enneagram, emotions, nature and so much more. The music has such strong emotion to them, it’s unbelievable

Movie recommendation: Coraline (2009)
Directed by Henry Selick
Tumblr media
Oh boy, this movie!
Starting with the production of the film alone, stop-motion animation for this movie is top notch. From the individual characters to the entire set, everything is spectacular. Huge props to the entire crew behind the movie.
Soundtrack is amazing! During the initial stages of the movie production, the musical group They Might Be Giants were tied to the film but all but one of their songs was kept on the movie. Eventually, French composer Bruno Coulais scored the film.
And now onto the story... To put it simply, if you’re a fan of animated horror movies, then you might like/love this movie. I know it seems like a children’s movie and it is even marketed towards a younger audience but the darker themes of the movie makes is just as enjoyable and even creepy for adults.
I won’t give too much away so I suggest you just give the movie a try.
