i walked into challengers assuming it’d be a movie about two guys fighting over one girl,

but in fact it’s a movie with somewhat tender moments that is about two boys who have for most of their lives wanted to be together but for many reasons it never worked out.

one interpretation i have is that tashi is a tool used to allow them to see their attraction for each other.
