lyanna stark is a fixture on those ‘so, the woman dies’ posts and tiktoks about fridged characters and i do think shes a just uniquely bad example for that. she dies and men are sad about it but thats not why she died grrm wasnt casting about for baggage to give robert and ned and landed on ‘lets kill lyanna’ that isnt why she exists. shes there as part of grrms subversion of the prophesied chosen one lost prince narrative and if she or rhaegar were alive that wouldnt work bc they would be able to TELL jon about his parentage. shes a woman whos dead but that ≠ fridging. of all the women in asoiaf to say is only dead because of authorial misogyny shes an odd pick
