sova and omen. if you care

later we see it is a scarf he was knitting, for sova. sova is grateful, "oh thank you for the lovely scarf omen! fits with this sweater you also gave me..." however we can see him sweating. an arrow points to him telling that he "likes the cold". omen replies with a smiley face above his head. an arrow points to him saying "only expresses affection through gifts." The Halloween Update! (since we Mateo forgot to update the blog.) Part 3

Our beloved Mister Sasha Novikov decided to go as a cute polar bear with the onesie that he made himself. When I asked him about how he bothered to make an elaborate costume for Miss Ling and Miss Kirra but only a onesie for him, he said:

"Oh, well... I don't really like wearing too many layers of clothes. I think there's just too much work into costumes and cosplay—but I certainly wouldn't mind making other people's costumes if they requested me to (as you can see with Ying Wei's and Kirra's). I like being comfortable in front of the children too so being a bear and being in a nice onesie would at least make me less intimidating for the kids, да? I wouldn't want to scare them away even if it's Halloween."

And it seemed to work because the kids absolutely loved his costume that he made himself. Especially Tayane, since she's dressed up as a werewolf (and I believe she had convinced her father to go as Little Red Riding Hood for the party), which made her all the more excited to see Mister Sasha with his cute outfit.

When I asked him about his favorite little wonders, he was quite straightforward:

"I don't think I favor a Little Wonder more than the others, I actually like all of them equally. But if I have to choose then Tayane and Tala since they're very lively children and Klara since she's well-behaved. It is the truth, however, for me to say that I love all of them. I do hope that they feel the same about me, I like taking care of them and the thought that I have been involved in their childhood warms my heart. That's all I really wanted."

Crazy headcanon I just had: what if... Cypher was actually Nora impersonating her own husband?

Well, it's hard to happen, but not impossible! After all, we never saw the guy's face.

And to complement this headcanon, we have to see how Nora would have become Amir and, consequently, Cypher. Here are some theories:

1. Nora worked with her husband in the business, so when she died it wasn't difficult to adapt the equipment to her advantage

2. Actually Amir was a normal person who ended up meeting death. The whole image of Cypher was built by Nora, who then adopted her husband's name both as a tribute and to make it difficult to trace.

3. Amir was Cypher and at some point died. Nora has taken up her post in pursuit of a goal (revenge, answers...) she may or may not have to learn technology from scratch (I like to think neural theft had a hand in it though.)

These are some flowers I can think of. Now, some unanswered questions

The physical constitution, voice, etc... How to justify this? Well, I don't think it's that difficult to alter that with the right outfit and a voice modulator (seeing that from the English dub), maybe even one of those palm trees that make people taller.

And the lines in which he quotes Nora? Nothing prevents referring to Amir as Nora, to disguise it. Furthermore, Cypher also has lines with Amir if I'm not mistaken.

I also think that as Nora she got to know someone she would later work with in the Valorant protocol (I think more likely Viper or Brimstone).

At some point, I believe someone will discover this secret (Viper or Sage, in my opinion), perhaps due to an incident or a medical condition that could be associated with Nora (I didn't have much idea for this, but I think by incident It is more likely).

Well that's basically it, I just wanted to put it on record so I don't forget it and because I thought it was cool.

Omen wearing a mask is a dumb idea

The whole point of his character is that he, well, isn’t fully human

the idea that his three stripes are a mask and that he has human features beneath is a contradiction of that. Especially when considering that his only visible feature beneath his clothing is those stripes.

When someone puts the “real” Omen underneath a mask, and have him remove said mask, they take away the one feature that visually sets Omen so far apart from the rest of the Valorant Protocol.

They water him down, they make him more palatable. But that’s not how scars work. That’s not how healing works. If we could all just take away that which makes us ugly, then we would. But omen can’t. And that’s what makes his character so beautiful and thought-provoking.

And so what, if Omen doesn’t have lips? So what if you can’t take off a mask to give him lips? I’ve never seen that stop anyone. There are forehead kisses, hand kisses, cheek kisses, neck kisses, chest kisses, and so on for every body part. There is no reason for Omen to need a face to share affection with someone.

He does not have a face. He does not need one.

Omen does not need a mask.

Omen should not be characterized as having a mask.
