Im Herbst vergangenen Jahres nutzen wir eins unserer freien Wochenenden, um Freunde in England zu besuchen und mit ihnen nach Wales zu fahren, um dort Wandern zu gehen. Wir hatten, wie man sieht leider nicht das beste Wetter, da wir aber bestens für Regen ausgestattet waren hat uns das nicht sehr gestört. Dafür wurden wir mit ein paar außergewöhnlich schönen Wanderwege und Übernachtungsplätzen belohnt. Die erste Nacht konnten wir gleich in einer Einsamen Bucht gecampt und Abend im Sonnenuntergang Grillen. An einem anderen Tag sind wir zu einem Abgelegenen See gewandert und sind dabei auf dieses Wilde Pferde gestoßen. Es war offensichtlich genauso verdutzt wie wir über diese Begegnung. Last autumn we used one of our free weekends to visit friends in England and went with them to Wales for some hiking. As you can see, we unfortunately didn't had the best weather, but since we were well equipped for rain, it didn't bother us much. In return we have been rewarded with some extraordinary beautiful hiking trails and spots to stay overnight. The first night we camped in a lonely bay and in the evening we had a barbecue in the sunset. On another day we hiked to a isolated lake and came across this wild horse. It was obviously as surprised as we were about this encounter. Den heutigen Post möchte ich nutzen, um meinen großen Landschaft‘ s Fotografen Idole Nigel Danson Danke zu sagen! Durch ihn habe ich mich in den letzten Monaten intensiv mit der Technik rund um das Fotografieren von Landschaften sowie die verschiedenen Aspekte des Bildaufbaus, der Bildtiefe und der farbtechnischen Gestaltung beschäftigt. Dadurch achte ich nun viel mehr auf die gesamte Komposition als vorher und bin auch beim anschließendem entwickeln der Bilder viel mehr darauf bedacht es Stimmiger zu gestalten. Ein Ergebnis aus meinen neu gewonnen Erfahrungen ist dieses Bild aus Norwegen. Ich wünschte man könnte endlich wieder Reisen. Was man eigentlich alles für Freiheiten hat, merkt man wirklich erst wenn sie einem nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehen. Zum Beispiel war es für uns als Nordseekinder immer das normalste bei gutem Wetter und etwas Zeit ein Kurztrip auf einen der Naheliegenden Inseln zu machen. Wie z.B. hier im Bild gleich früh auf der ersten Fahrt des #syltexpress nach Sylt aufzubrechen und dabei den Sonnenaufgang zu genießen. Leider ist das in der derzeitigen Situation nicht möglich und das obwohl wir so tolles Wetter haben. Was vermisst ihr gerade am meisten? .. . Sony A7M3 | 34mm | f/6.3 | 1/60sec | 125 ISO . I wish we could finally travel again. What kind of freedom you actually have, you really only notice when it is no longer available to you. For example, it was always the most normal thing for us as "North Sea youngsters" to take a short trip to one of the nearby islands when the weather was good and we had some time. Like here in the picture, for example, to set off early on the first trip of the SyltExpress to Sylt and enjoy the sunrise. Ein Bild aus meinem Archiv als wir letztes Jahr auf dem Rückweg der Norddeutschen Naturfototagen aus Waren noch kurz in Boltenhagen angehalten haben. Eine traumhafte Ecke, um ein paar Bilder zu machen. Leider sind die diesjährigen Naturfototage schon abgesagt – ich hoffe das Mecklenburg-Vorpommern als sehr Tourismus abhängiges Land gut durch die Krise kommt. Ich hoffe euch geht es allen gut und ihr haltet das zuhause Sitzen noch einigermaßen aus. Wir hier in Deutschland haben das Glück, das wir keinen kompletten Lockdown haben und daher die Möglichkeit haben das gute Wetter zum Fotografieren zu nutzen. Auch wenn beim letzten Ausflug in die Bordelumer Heide das Wetter nicht perfekt war, hat es doch spaß gemacht. Zumal man die Zeit gerade super nutzen kann, um sich mal wieder mit den Technischen Aspekten der Fotografie zu beschäftigen – wie hier das Problem der Tiefenschärfe und dem entsprechenden Fokusstacking. Dau habe ich mal wieder Lightroom bestellt und mich daran versucht – normal verwende ich ja Capture One. Was sagt ihr zu dem Ergebnis? . Sony A7M3 | 24mm | f/9.0 | 1/10sec | 100 ISO . I hope you are all well and you are still able to manage the sitting at home. We here in Germany are lucky that we don't have a complete lockdown and therefore have the possibility to use the good weather for taking pictures outside. Even though the weather was not perfect on our last trip to the Bordelumer Heide, it was still enjoyable. Especially since you can use the time to deal with the technical aspects of photography - like here the problem of depth of field and the corresponding focus stacking. Bei unserer Reise durch die Lofoten sind wir immer wieder in den kleinen hübschen Dörfern hängen geblieben und haben unsere Zeit ausgiebige zum Fotografieren genutzt. Dabei trafen wir auch auf die vielen Vögel, die entlang der Häuserzeilen nisteten und sich bereitwillig Knipsen ließen. Wir waren im gesamten so von den Lofoten beeindruckt das wir gerne wiederkommen würden – obwohl wir dann doch mehr Zeit in den Vesterålen verbringen würden – diese waren mindestens genauso schön und dafür aber viel verlassener. Im Besonderen hat es uns hier Andøy angetan – wo wir mehrfach am Tag Adler sehen konnten. Wenn ihr eine Weltreise machen würdet – welches wären eure Favorisierten Ziele? . In doing so we also noticed the many birds that nested along the rows of houses and willingly let themselves be photographed. We were so impressed by the Lofoten that we wanted to come back - although we would spend more time in the Vesterålen - they were equally beautiful but much more remote. We especially liked Andøy here - where we could see eagles several times a day. Unser letzter großer Roadtrip führte uns im vergangenen Jahr in den Norden von Norwegen. In gut 4 Wochen hatten wir genug Zeit die gegend rund um die Lofoten & Vesterålen allen zu erkunden. Einer unser Hauptaktivitäten dabei war immer das Wandern, wie hier an einer verlassenen Küste auf den Lofoten. Lang ist es her seit ich meinen letzten Post verfasst habe. Der Aufwand den Account zu betreiben und täglich mit neuen Bildern zu versehen wurde mir zu groß und ich hatte nebenbei auch einige Private Projekte. The reflection of our hot air balloon in a river. We had a very experienced balloon driver on our trip through the air over Luebeck. He quickly showed us what is possible with such a balloon, from slow and fast flights up to high flights with panoramic views and low flights for more adrenaline - very impressive! The best part is that contrary to taking pictures from an airplane, you have much more time for the composition and therefore you are not under so much pressure to capture the right scene. This is definitely the most decelerating variant of aerial photography. . Sony A6000 | 75mm | F/5 | 1/165sec | 1000 ISO . Die Spiegelung unseres Heißluft Ballon in einem Fluss. Wir hatten bei unserer Fahrt durch die Lüfte über Lübeck einen äußerst erfahrenen Ballon Fahrer. Dieser Zeigte uns schnell was eigentlich mit so einem Ballon alles möglich ist, von langsamen und schnellen Fahrten bis hin zu hoch Flügen mit Aussicht aber auch tief Flügen für mehr Adrenalin – sehr beeindruckend! Am besten ist jedoch, dass man entgegen dem Fotografieren aus einem Flugzeug, viel mehr Zeit für die Komposition hat und damit nicht mehr so unter Druck steht den richtigen Ausschnitt einzufangen. Endless lines - I love the fact that in the Scandinavian countries a lot is still built with natural materials. So like here roof tiles are sometimes made of wood or stone. Endlose Linien – ich finde es toll dass in den Skandinavischen Ländern noch viel mit Natürlichen Materialien gebaut wird. So werden wie hier Dachschindeln zum Teil aus Holz oder Stein hergestellt. If you are travelling in Norwegian inland, a visit to the town of Røros, which has also been registered as a UNESCO site since 1980, is definitely worthwhile. Røros is remarkable for its history as a mining town but also for its well-preserved 17th and 18th century buildings. In the whole surrounding area you can also explore old mines, from which the extracted materials were brought by cable car to the city for processing. . Wenn man in Norwegischen Inland unterwegs ist, lohnt sich auf jeden Fall ein Besuch der Stadt Røros, diese ist seit 1980 auch als UNESCO Site eingetragen. Die Stadt ist besonders sehenswert wegen ihrer Historie als Mienenstadt aber auch wegen der sehr gut erhaltenen Gebäude aus dem 17 und 18 Jahrhundert. My first look up was very surprising here. Like through a tunnel I looked through the tower of the old church ruin until the view is limited by the inserted intermediate floor. The corners of the tower act as a leading line to lead the view into the middle of the object, here you find the detailed woodwork framed by the incident light of the windows underneath. Even if the motive is actually very simple, it has become one of my favorites of our Scandinavian road trip due to the great composition. . --- Mein erster Blick nach oben war hier sehr überraschend. Wie durch einen Tunnel schaute ich durch den Turm der alten Kirchen Ruine bis der Blick durch den eingezogenen Zwischenboden begrenzt wird. Die Ecken des Turmes agieren als Leading Line um den Blick in die Mitte des Objekts zu führen, hier umrahmt von einfallenden Licht der oben gelegenen Fenster befindet sich das Das detailreiche Holzgewerk. Auch wenn das Motiv eigentlich sehr schlicht ist, ist es für mich aufgrund der tollen Komposition zu einem meiner Highlight Bilder unseres Skandinavien Roadtrips geworden. . . The Blue Hour at a Fjord in Norway. Here we had a super funny evening - by luck we met some German campers who had our favourite board game Carcassonne with them. So we took the chance and played with a good glass of wine well into the late evening hours with this fantastic view. As you can see, I now upload my camera settings to every photo. Hier hatten wir ein super witzigen Abend – durch Zufall trafen wir ein paar Deutsche Camper die witziger Weise unser Lieblingsbrettspiel Carcassonne dabei hatten. Wir nutzen daher gleich die Chance und spielten bei einem guten Glas Wein bis in die späten Abendstunden mit diesem traumhaften Ausblick. Was sagt ihr dazu das ich nun zu jedem Foto auch meine Kamera Einstellungen mit Hochlande. Interessant für euch oder kann ich mir den Aufwand sparen? . . . We are impressed again and again how the tourist flows in Norway are concentrated around certain regions. As an example, in Geiranger you can hardly put one foot in front of the other, but if you leave the village and the surrounding view points it is already more calmed. Nevertheless, there are still some buses that drive the tourist masses over the surrounding Scenic Routes in order to show the breathtaking landscape of Norway. But even these tourists can be avoided by driving into one of the many sides or old plateu roads - here, you are usually in sufficient seclusion. Therefore this time we spend an ice-old night along the old Strynefjellsvegen, but in complete solitude. However, we are only 40km away from Geiranger. --- Wie sind immer wieder beeindruckt wie konzentriert sich die Touristenströme in Norwegen auf einzelne Regionen konzentriert haben. So ist es zum Beispiel so dass man in Geiranger kaum einen Fuß vor den anderen setzen kann, verlässt man jedoch die Ortschaft und die umliegenden Aussichtspunkte ist es schon ungemein ruhiger. Dennoch trifft man noch vereinzelt Buse, welche die Touristenmassen über die umliegenden Scenic Routes fahren um die atemberaubende Landschaft von Norwegen aufzuzeigen. Aber selbst diesen Touristen entgeht man wenn man nur in eine der vielen Seiten oder alten Plateu Straßen fährt – hier ist man in der Regel in ausreichender Abgeschiedenheit. So verbringen wir dieses Mal eine zwar eisesalte Nacht entlang der alten Strynefjellsvegen, dafür aber in kompletter Einsamkeit. Und dabei sind wir nur knapp 40km von Geiranger entfernt. . . .
