It is like.... SOOOO TELLING THAT the home that she may have grown up in(the house surrounded by Miquella's Lilys) is so isolated, being in the corner of Leyndell, and even more so, hidden behind the buildings that are designated to the Perfumers(the healers) of the Golden Order.

Like, I won't say that the populace of Leyndell was afraid of her, BUT she was clearly held within an arms length of the normal folk, and her only constant contact was either Miquella or Godwyn.

MALENIA WAS SO LONELY

she only had her brothers to keep her company as everyone else either straight up avoided her, and if they were normal around her they would 100% contract the Rot and then waste away and die right in front of Malenia!!!!

And that's what makes the Cleanrot Knights so noble. Actually now that I think about it, I wonder if Godrick was jealous of Miquella and Malenia?

Not because of the fact that they excelled above him despite being "rank and malformed" but because the twins were clearly Godwyns favorites.

Like he calls out to Godfrey for acknowledgment during our fight with him, so maybe he once felt that way about Godwyn desiring recognition and love from his ancestor/father/grandfather(?) but was clearly upstaged by Miquella and Malenia who Godwyn loved dearly, sparing not even a glance at Godrick.
