Me explaining that Ice Pick Joe, while a small character, is the narrative driver of all the miscommunication that results in the tragedy of the film and despite his best efforts he can't break free from it. Making him the most tragic figure despite being sidelined as "just" the comic relief.

I feel that even though Morgana meant for this to be intimidating, it says a lot more than that. Merlin of all people she doesn’t fear, especially after finding out he is Emrys. After all these years and all of the times that he had the chance to slay her with his obvious power; he never did. Despite the fact that she never knew the times he saved her—even after she had turned evil—she could plainly see that he had the power and motivation to kill her without being caught, and yet he never did. I think truly she did not fear him, she did not think he would kill her, and that’s why when he finally does there is such shock and betrayal in her expression—she didn’t believe he would really do it.

On season 3 episode 1 of my Merlin rewatch.

Just thinking about the fact that Morguese probably never told Morgana that Merlin showed her what poison he had used, so that she could save her. She let her believe that he tried to kill her even un-remorsefully, and that he didn’t want to save her.
