Banana Pancakes
Hi everyone, H here again!
It’s time to share another pancake recipe that is perfect as either breakfast or snack, whatever you prefer! Basically, any time of the day is the perfect time for these banana pancakes :) You might have noticed by now that I really love any meal that can be made into a breakfast type of meal hahaha
And here’s what you need to make them:
·     1 banana – not frozen this time, but ripe and ready to be smashed by a fork or spoon
·     1 egg – mix it with the banana, or if you prefer pure egg whites that works too
·     1/5 cup of oats – mix it in with the banana and egg mix
·     A splash of cinnamon – all for the taste!
·     20gr protein powder (optional) – but it brings the mix into a smooth batter and it adds some taste. As usual, I go for either vanilla or chocolate. But if you don’t want to add protein powder, flour works just as well!
From here you can either just mix it all together with a spoon or put it all in a blender making it more of a smoother batter.
Once that’s done, you fry your desired size of pancakes in a pan and finish up with whatever toppings you want. I go for either yoghurt and some berries or peanut butter!
It is super simple and easy, try it out for yourselves! And let me know what you think in the comments J

I recommend going here with a group of friends or family. The presentation of the food was impeccable which even seemed to make the food taste better! I ordered the fish tacos and I highly highly recommend them when you try this place. I give House of Lulu White a 9.2 out of 10.

Hey guuys!! It’s T here. This time I tried a place in Footscray about a 12 minute walk from VU. This was a Japanese place called Don Don. The place is fairly new and has a nice outside seating area for when it’s nice outside. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl which was pretty good. My friend got the box that came with teriyaki chicken and shredded beef, rice and fruit. The presentation was nice, the food was okay. I give Don Don a 7 out of 10.

This is a sushi place with a sushi train!! I had a great experience at this restaurant. It can be casual and slightly fancy if you make it. The sushi train made the experience really fun!! Not only that but the sushi tasted amazing! I would definitely recommend this place!! The employees are sweet and attentive. Ganbare Kaz gets a 9.5 out of 10.

Hey guys!! So I went for a nice brunch to a small place called darling cafe in South Yarra. It was perfect and such a nice time since the weather was a little warm. I went with two friends and it was fairly busy. We started off having mimosas. The presentation at this place was amazing! It's easy to see that they put effort and believe in serving a nice aesthetic. We got the popcorn chicken and spring rolls to share. Both were good but the popcorn chicken was my fav of the two! Darling cafe gets an 8 out of 10.

Asian cuisine is one of my all time favourites!! How about you guys?? On a day out in the CBD, my friend and I decided to try a cute little placed named Drumplings. I was super excited because dumplings are one of my favourites. This place has specialty dumplings. The ambiance is amazing!! Just very aesthetically pleasing. We decided to sit outside because the weather was warm. Service was great!!! Everyone was extremely nice. On the flip side, I didn't enjoy my food too much. I bit into each dumpling expecting something other than what I got and not in a good way. They even had dessert dumplings that were not very enjoyable in my opinion. Everything was wonderful except the most important thing.. the food!!! I give drumplings a 6.5 out of 10. (this is not my photo)

Who doesn't love pastaaaaaa?!!!! I went out of my usual bounds of Footscray and tried a pasta place called Sauced on Chapel Street. This place is pretty nice on the inside with kind, helpful employees. You basically build the pasta you want with the different sauces and pasta types they have. I got a white sauce with sun dried tomatoes. I appreciated the freshness of the pasta but I felt something was missing in the dish. I also tried the bruschetta and mac and cheese balls which were both amazing. I definitely enjoyed the small plates more than the actual pasta. Sauced gets an 8.2 out of 10.

Hello my fellow foodies! My most recent food endevour has been pizza!! Who doesn't love a good pizza?! This time around I ordered from Bambinos pizza in Footscray. I would say the pricing is average although my order took a little longer than expected. I ordered a large tandoori chicken gourmet pizza. I personally tend to like a thick crust; this one was perfectly in the middle of thick and thin. The toppings on my pizza included baby spinach, tandoori chicken, sour cream, and cheese of course. It was a bit spicy for me but the flavouring was good. My rating is a 6.9 out of 10.

Hey T here! who's hungry?! So i've recently tried this burger place in Footscray called 8bit. I wasn't expecting it to be that good but they surprised me! The burger was rather good and the meat was cooked well. They have different options and yummy sauces. I also got an order of fries that complemented my burger perfectly. Even though it was on the pricier side, I'd definitely recommend this place. I even went another time and tried the chicken burger. It was also good!! The place is modern with nice wall paintings but not the most comfortable. It would be good for a casual lunch date. Overall, 8bit gets an 8.3 out of 10.

Hey everyone, H here!
I thought that I was time to share a great “healthy” dessert recipe with you guys. This one I usually go for after dinner when my sweet tooth kicks in and I can’t resist it haha :) Making this protein mug cake is perfect as a snack/dessert for those nights!
This is what you need to make it:
·     63gr eggwhite – I get my carton of egg whites at Coles and Woolworth for like $5, and one thing of it will last you a long time
·     Baking soda – I don’t really know exactly how much but about 1-2tsps
·     1-2 tbsp peanut butter
·     20gr protein powder – any flavour would do, my favourite is either chocolate or vanilla
·     Splash of cinnamon – if I go for the vanilla flavoured protein powder I love to add a splash of cinnamon to make it more like a cinnamon cake
àAll you need to do is mix it all together either with a spoon or fork or put it all in a blender and mix it there. Then pour it all in a cup, put it in the microwave at high for 45-60 seconds. You know that it’s done when it has risen and is still soft but compact J
Once it’s done you can add any toppings that you like. For a chocolate mug cake, I like to put some raspberries and some yoghurt and maybe a little shave coconut. If I’m in the mood for the vanilla mug cake, it’s great to add either some sliced banana or apple together with some peanut butter on top.
There you go, that’s all you need to make it! Try it out and let me know how you like it J

Acai Bowl
Hi everyone! H here again and to keep going on the smoothie train on here, I want to share my best Acai Bowl recipe with you guys.
It was after a weekend in Sydney that I got obsessed with Acai Bowls for breakfast. And once I got home I figured I might as well make them at home too.
So, here’s what you need to make your very own Acai bowl:
·     One frozen banana
·     About 100gr of frozen berries – I usually go for either raspberries or blueberries, but strawberries work great too
·     About 100ml apple juice – I prefer the cloudy one and it adds such a great flavour to the smoothie
·     About 50-100ml water of milk – I like to add some more liquid to make the smoothie the perfect consistency, you decide what amount is perfect for you
·     Acai powder – I got this organic powder from Aldi for just 4 dollars and you just need a little bit for every smoothie, so it’s perfect. But I know that you can get frozen Acai purée at Coles and Woolworth if you prefer that instead
àJust mix it all together in a blender so until you get the right consistency! Now, all that’s left is the toppings to go with it :)
I love to put some sliced banana, a bit of peanut butter, some granola and bit of shaved coconut on there. But you can put anything on there, whatever you like!
Try it out for yourselves and let me know if you like it in the comments :)

Peanut Butter Breakfast Smoothie
Hey everyone, it’s H here!
By now you might have noticed that I absolutely love fast and healthy snacks and breakfast food, and this recipe is no different haha :)
One of my absolute favourite things to have for breakfast is a smoothie. The reason why I love it is that there are endless variations and combinations that you can make, it only depends on what you have in your fridge and what you are in the mood for!
I just love peanut butter, in all combinations so today I’m going to share a delicious peanut butter smoothie that is perfect for breakfast after a tough morning workout or just before heading to school.
Here is what you need to make my favourite smoothie:
·     1 frozen banana – it is perfect to just freeze bananas that are becoming too ripe. Just peel them and put them in a plastic bag and pop them in the freezer.
·     About 1 tbsp peanut butter – I prefer the ones that have not artificial additives and no sugar, but any kind will do.
·     250 ml almond milk – this will just add to the peanut butter taste of the smoothie, but you can add any milk you want. I just prefer almond milk in this smoothie because of the taste J
·     5 pitted dates – you can get big packs of dates at both Aldi, Coles and Woolworths
·     Shredded coconut – I just add about a handful for the flavour
·     40g protein powder (optional) – I add this for a more filling smoothie and it’s always great to get protein in every meal. My favourite flavours to add is vanilla or chocolate.
·     About 20-25g Psyllium husk (optional) – this is a great source of fibre, but you certainly don’t need to add it in your smoothie if you don’t want to. It doesn’t taste like anything it just makes the smoothie a bit thicker in consistency
Just mix all of this in your blender and then you’re good to go! If you’re in the mood for something a little bit extra, you can make it into a smoothie bowl, just like I did! Just pour the smoothie into a bowl and add any toppings you might like. On mine, I put some more coconut, a bit of muesli and a little bit of sliced banana and peanut butter.
That’s all you need to make my favourite smoothie! Please let me know if you tried it and how you liked it :)
For my next recipe, I’ll share another breakfast favourite of mine, acai bowl!  So tune in for that!

Savoury and Sweet Rice Cakes
Hi everyone, H here and I'm about to share one of my absolute favourite snacks lately have been rice cakes with a fried egg and some chicken, it makes me feel like I’m eating brunch at some fancy place in Fitzroy. I guess it something with the egg combination… But in reality, I’m sitting on my couch in my sweaty workout clothes while stuffing my face after a workout haha :)
The best part of this is that you can put anything on your rice cake, in any combination that you want! If you are a fan of avocado you can put that on there as well and sprinkle some lemon pepper on top (a delicious tip for you guys). If you are in the mood for something sweeter, putting some sliced banana on top of peanut butter is a great combination too. For my two rice cakes today I went for one savoury and one sweet:
Here, is all you need to join in on the “amazing” food sensation:
·     Rice cakes– I like the brown rice cakes the best, preferably without any flavouring, just plain and natural
·     Eggs – I have a current obsession with fried eggs right now, I love when the yolk has the perfect consistency
·     Shaved chicken – it’s great to have in the fridge since you can use it for so much, omelettes, wraps, sandwiches and these little rice cakes!
·     Onion – I always have a net of red onions in my pantry, it adds just a little extra flavour and the combination of red onion and tomato is my favourite.
·     Tomatoes – any tomatoes will do, I like the cherry tomatoes best
Another combination would be to add some avocado:
·     Avocado – I know what you are thinking, avocados can be expensive… but I’ve realized that buying a big net of avocados is the way to go! All grocery stores have them, and they are usually around $6 – Giving you plenty of avocados!
·     Lemon pepper– I love to sprinkle this on top of the avocado
If you would like something more sweet to still your sweet tooth, just add some banana and a spread of peanut butter on the rice cake, and finally, sprinkle some cinnamon on top. That’s what I did for my second rice cake!
àthe possibilities are endless, the only limit is what you have in your fridge! Let me know what you decided to try! J
