[11:15 AM] You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to drown out their conversation.

“Did you hear?” The girl that sat behind you failed to keep her voice down, “Haechan broke up with her last Friday night.”

“How embarrassing,” Her friend chimed in.

You lifted your textbook higher, forcing your eyes to follow the sentence you’d been reading.

Everybody knew Soulmate!Haechan was touched by the soul mark. A familiar shape grained onto the skin of a person’s wrist.

You had thought others would have avoided dating Soulmate!Haechan due to his destiny being bound to another. But just the opposite. It had been romanticized by the other students. The notion one could potentially get Soulmate!Haechanto fall for them instead, to get him to choose them over his Soulmate.

Your mouth soured at the thought. You, too, had been unfortunate enough to bear the soul mark. However, unlike Soulmate!Haechan, you couldn’t comprehend entertaining the foolishness of others. Soulmates rarely went against foretold fate. It was unnatural.

Soulmate!Haechan restlessly leaned back on his chair, a lollipop sticking out from his mouth. His stained lips quirked as he noticed you raised your hand to answer another of the professor’s questions.

“Who’s that?” Soulmate!Haechan inquired, nudging Jeno with his elbow. Jeno peered up from his unlit Bunsen burner, “That’s Y/N.”

“Y/N,” He tasted your name, his curiosity bubbling in his chest, “How come I haven’t seen her before?”

“I don’t think you’ve ever shared a class.” Jeno shrugged, “I don’t think Y/N is exactly your type,” He added.

Jeno was somewhat correct. You were diligent, an overachiever. The type that sat in the front of every class, hanging off every word the professor said. And yet, there was something about you that made him intrigued. 

Soulmate!Haechan pushed back his chair, gathering his rack sack. He winked at Jeno before strolling down to the front of the classroom.

You heard someone pull out a chair. To your dismay, it was Soulmate!Haechan. He plotted down beside you, his infuriating grin making you audible huff.

To his amusement, you did your best to ignore him throughout the rest of the lesson. It wasn’t until you started to pack your things to leave, did the sleeve of your blouse roll down. Soulmate!Haechan’s breath hitched, noting the very same soul mark that was on his wrist on yours.

You blinked, taken aback, “What about it?”

Hyuck had his head laid on the bar’s counter as uncountable empty glasses were around his figure. He was still wearing the practice clothes he had probably worn in the early morning, but now the usually tidy shirt was fully wrinkled. And as far as your eyes could see, he had not even minded trying to cover Neo Culture’s tattoo on his right arm— him completely ignoring the fact that he was in a public space. 

His usually tidy brown hair was all messed up from sleeping on the uncomfortable wood, and his usually shiny and full of life eyes were now swollen from probable hours of crying. The man sitting in that place looked nothing like the full-confident brother you knew.

“Donghyuck.” You called your brother’s name, carefully sitting on the chair next to him to avoid scaring him. 

As your eyes wandered through his sleepy face, your hands faltered to touch him. He looked so vulnerable that you were afraid that you’d hurt him if you tried to physically approach him.

- Jaemin generally stays posted in the getaway van with Jisung while Haechan, Mark, Jeno, and Renjun go to get their hands dirty

- Like said before, absolutely enjoys bedazzling and decorating the other’s weapons or making designs on them, usually the designs of their special mafia imprint

- Chenle being Chenle, he’d also begin vandalizing his rivals’ private property after stockpiling a shitload of incendiaries inside

- Doesn’t feel comfortable with carrying around his own gun so Jaemin made him his own customized pocket taser (with a built in mini bomb, credits to Chenle)

- Has all of the gang’s sacred files and information stored away with him and not even Mark knows how to access it without Jisung’s help

- May or may not have the tendency to always hide behind Jeno during gun-raids because he feels protected 🥺

Tears fell from your eyes and you pulled your knees closer, hoping he would come back in some time.

He stormed out, when you shouted words he had never wanted to hear, "It's my fault, why don't you get it Jaehyun? Leave me alone, you can't keep trying to fix me."

You were never loved or that is how you felt, so you never came to terms with the fact that Jaehyun loved you. Jaehyun has really loved you and most of it overwhelmed you. Whenever those words slipped out of his lips you would never come to terms with it.

He asked you to take your time, his hand had gently caressed yours and his smile was as bright as ever, "I will always love you till the end of the world." 

He had always been considerate and waited for you all the time, whether it be when you had to catch up to his steps on rainy days or when he had to wait to be loved by you.

But even a man with patience is bound to lose all of it one day right? It was a day where he wanted to be loved rather than loving, he wanted to feel like you needed him. The sharp shards of your emotions lay on the floor bare, they pierced his feet.

The blood he never thought he would bleed came out from his eyes and his heart broke in a million pieces when he saw your state on the couch, his heart being shattered more than a million times. What didn't he do which wasn't enough? Or was he never it? Self doubt rushed over him and he walked away from you before you saw it in his eyes.

Hours turned to days and days turned to months, he didn't come back, his clothes and his accessories all lay in their place, they twisted and tugged at your heart every moment you looked at them, the emptiness of his presence settled in every moment of silence. 

"Please remember my answer is you." Jaehyun said when your arms wrapped around his neck and tears slipped your eyes.

Hey, don't forget to have a night walk with him, where the temperature feel so cold, and the vibe at this time is very safe and classic when you are with him

When you sleep beside him, he will carry you to your bed and whisper something to you. He will caress your head and you find him asleep beside you the next morning.

When you are on your period, you will have a mood swings and you don't need to tell him cuz he can guess it. He will spoil you alooottt.

You want to go to watch movies in the cinema? He is totally fine with it. You forgot to bring your money? Don't worry you don't need to care about it cuz he is with you. You want some snacks? Why he have to buy it if he already preparing to surprise you with it? You want a new phone? Umm maybe he will think twice again.

When you crying or feel down, he will ask you about it, and he tries to calm you down and cuddle with you alllll day. Or maybe when he is rich af at that time, he will take you on a luxury vacation and not forget to go shopping. Cuz he promised you that he will be with you forever.

Sometimes you have a love-hate friendship with him. Misunderstanding is the normal thing between you two. He sometimes feels jealous or sad when you spend all your time with another friend although of the same gender. Fighting? Oh yeah, the small things sometimes can be a big thing okay. For example, food. If you open a refrigerator and "accidentally" found chocolate or maybe something else that is his food, of course, you will eat it. Once Jeno found about it, you are in danger lol. Like, he not talking with you all day or maybe just ignore you?

"Not until you buy back the cheesecake you eat yesterday"

You smile at the memory that is flashing in your mind

He found someone. Yes, someone. Someone that people say "no one can replace her" and whatsoever. Jeno meets his girlfriend in the cafe shop and that's how she confess her feeling to Jeno and Jeno accept it. You are sad and disappointed about it. You just don't have an idea if it is called jealousy or maybe something else.

You almost crying when you found out about it. That's why he acts strangely all these days, cuz he found someone new. You found that you were mad at yourself and it's hurt you more when he keeps his distance from you. It's not like you can do the things with him like before

"Why do you keep your distance and acts like a stranger? Can't we just act normal like before?"

"Sorry y/n, my girlfriend told me to do that, she... She said that she was uncomfortable about it and jealous although if we just talking normal thing...sorry"

Those feeling before you have, now you thought it's all fake. Fake. You feel betrayed. You know it's not his girl's fault but still, you can feel the scar.

When you make eye contact with him without purpose, you quickly avoid it. You now try to avoid meeting him.

When you meet him, you can feel the guilt in his eyes. Sometimes you realised his action that he wants to fix it again. You just ignore him. You try to ignore him but you cant. All you can do now is just to be a stranger. Yes. Stranger.

You feel regret and angry when you found out that you are actually in love with him. You just know all those feeling are called love. Tsk, how stupid are you? You are late. And he is late too.

Sad, disappointed, angry, betrayed, all in one

Now, you have to let him go because sometimes love to mean that we have to leave them and let them go to be happier. Whatever you go through, life is still going on.

Sometimes you meet him, but not talking too long, because you know your line especially when he with his girlfriend

You just have to wait. Wait to deserve someone else who can accept you. Accept your feelings
