I'm not trying to be a party pooper - but if you don't want to burn out and break down, then you have to learn to honor your mental and physical limits and make sure that you work in a way which is actually sustainable long term. Because if you don't, it'll eventually catch up with you and that won't be fun.

If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.

The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!

Finally watching "Mob Psycho 100" properly to appreciate the animation. Teru's shift to "be a better person" is incredibly funny to me, because he's still a 13-14yo former(?) school gang leader apparently living without any adult supervision, who's also apparently been beating up the superpowered people regularly trying to kidnap him for years. So, his efforts to "help" Mob (get Ritsu back from Claw) (and befriend? him) are like:

Teru: (casually matter-of-fact) "Mob, I think we're going to have to waterboard this guy."

Mob: (in the softest voice you've ever heard in your life) "Oh. Okay."

#well. #firstly. the previous one before this one does still live and all but it's infuriatingly SLOW AND GLITCHY IT DRIVES ME FUCKINGBAHSHSKAL #anyway. so yea. i kinda bought a new phone sorta on a whim during the vacation last summer #and I have yet to... completely roll over much of anything... so I still got my sms. calls and bus ticket on the other one #the one before that again? the screen stopped working after it fell from my desk one too many times :// #also got an issue w laptops... ex. spilled water on one... i miss that one... the new one's not been too good so I bought a desktop computer #to hopefully make the laptop's life longer and have more higy processing stuff done on the computer since the laptop is so easily #overheated #AGHHHU #I feel like I just keep making mistakes though #there ARE phones I've had for a whuoe though. or ones that I was the second to use. like that's how I got all of my first phones #they were all my mum's first typically #except for the new one and the very slow one (guess that one's closing in on 2 yrs tho) I do have 1 other old functional #which is... I guess that one is about 5 yrs or something now #the screen is pretty broken though and yea it's kinda old w low storage space and all that bur it DOES work #the battery is kinda worn down though #but I THINK it's one of those I can open at the back 👀 (yes that old) but idk if I'd even be able to get ahold of a new battery #good thing these things are coming back though ✨️ #polls #good to know folks here are good at keeping gheir stuff long lasting

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:

Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)

Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)

Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.

But in Japanese it scans as:

Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)

Psycho (short for psychic)

Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.
