thinking about this older Black lesbian i met once (genuinely older, like, in her 50s), who said that while she's polyamorous she's not in a polycule, she's part of a galaxy. she explained that some people were planets, they were a big part of her life and very consistently present, others were comets, only in her life for a little while but enjoyably so, and others were moons, present, but not as present or consistent as others. and the way she talked about it and the smile on her face were both beautiful.

Walk walk fashion baby~

I’ve made the red lotus members wear traditional costumes of what I imagine would be their ethnic group: for P’Li I chose traditional Japanese clothing and for Ming Hua a Siberian inspired wear!

Please keep in mind that I am in no way an expert in such cultures and I’m taking what I could find on the internet as a source. My intent is to uplift these beautiful clothes on some of my favorite characters. It is very possible I made mistakes in replicating clothes from cultures I do not know that well and I do not want in any way to offend anyone! As a matter of fact, I’d love to have some feedback from someone who does know them!

Something for @sskuvira’s Lin Beifong Appreciation week! A bit late getting started, but my internet connection is unreliable at the moment so I’m just doing my best.

I’ve been meaning to do some more serious anatomy practice lately. What a perfect opportunity 😏

my friend and i were going to study a language together and wound up having to cancel our plans due to scheduling pressures, but! through research we came across a really cool resource for reading in a TON of languages: bloom library!

as you can see, it has a lot of books for languages that are usually a bit harder to find materials for—we were going to use it for kyrgyz, for example, which has over 1000 books, which was really hard to find textbook materials for otherwise. as you can see it also has books with audio options, which would be really useful for pronunciation checking. as far as i can tell, everything on the site is free as well.

I don't have that many on A03, most of my stories have probably disappeared with the changing of media, but here are the ones I do have.

Which is a pwp between Lok's Mako, Asami and Kuvira. It really was to scratch a poly itch and jump back into writing after years of silence. While nothing is in the works as of yet, I would like to do something continuing the OT3 relationship.

Something Just Like This Part 1

The first of several planned chapters for Lin Beifong x Kuvira, my OTP. The story came about while discussing headcanons and pairings with @tamras-shieldmaiden . Their love sort of just unfolded before us and now I'm ready to tell it.

Three random facts hmmm.

1. I'm a huge nerd/gamer, but I also have a passion for sports (particularly ice hockey where I played Goalie).

2. I love the topic of genetics, advances in science and can be found watching surgery videos etc. To unwind.

3. I can't write if I don't feel it. My poetry/writing comes in spurts when my meds don't dull the mind.
