Tldr (gimbun instead of waiting rushes in to combat only to get charmed and getting told to put a slave collar on keep in mind he has the strength to kill his entire time if luck is on his side) So, given the situation we ended up in, I'm making this post already. I'll give a brief explanation for new comers, cause I want everyone to understand fully what I've done/caused. So I'm a player in a campaign called the island game. It's a dnd 5e god game, where we are four players currently lv 16. Now in this game we are evil characters, we started off doing a job for someone called blackwood to retrieve an artifact from an ancient race that used to rule the island we are on, and are like super technologically advanced in both magic and tech they're also super evil. We retrieve the artifact and one thing led to another we end up stealing it from him again, we get recruited by the church of tiamat and get put under alucard's (evil vampire lord) care as new initiates, were we do a bunch of crazy adventures and some adventures not related to him, it all ends up with us approaching an apartment complex (look at my previous post) as a stop in our journey to take down one of the bases of this ancient race. In this game we have elena a plague ridden demon, vaswal a pyromaniac, fram a vampire turned by alucard and my character gimbun, a half robot half crocodile humanoid (used to be fully crocodile but that's a long story). Now we try to be smart and have fram turn into mist and sneak in to gather information (a comment I made on my previous post will clarify). Now gimbun is not very smart a bit off a goofball, he in his infinite wisdom decides after what felt like forever that it was taking too long and flew into combat, summoning some hill giants with his artifact horn and managed to kill some slaves in the complex pretty easily. Then, when my turn ends, the zahacrontier(the ancient evil race) appears behind gimbun and charms him, suggesting he puts on a slave collar.... I can, with luck on my side, literally one-shot, kill everyone on my team, so yeah... Big mistake

If there was any doubt on wether my character gimbun should sign up for master chef I think this proves it. Last wednesday me and my friends played the island game again, which is our weekly dnd/god game and went up against tree purple worms, we ended up winning pretty easily and gimbun in his infinite wisdom decided to eat part of the purple worm and cut chunks of meat up for later, it's an untapped market I tell ya XD also

So I was talking to my dm about the other character i play in the current campaign Gimbun(most people play two characters.) He has an ai that recently got installed into his brain, given he is a cyborg crocodile and while the ai has been helpful so far my dm just sent me this without warning, so yeah we're doing great folks

My dm: ok so the chaos gremlin gets handed a goldfish in a bag

Chaos gremlin: begins shaking the bag

Buttercup: nope *proceeds to yank the bag away and teleports out*

My dm: where do you try to teleport to?

Buttercup: back to our ship

My dm: rolls to see if I succeed and proceeds to facepalm

And that is the story of how I got my goldfish sidekick Pete and how my character has basically become a heavily discounted version of xanathar XD *worth noting I've never had my teleport succeed not even once*

This is buttercup one of the dnd characters I play in a campaign called the island game : ) Its a bit of an old photo I drew but I still think it's super cute. The story of him is that he is a living mushroom, who used to be treasurer of an organised crime group known as the black hand, before he got killed during a mission were he was sent to try and kill the island game's equivalent of dracula. He managed to escape hell and is now during crazy adventures together with the party, were we named ourselves the firecrackers, it's a goofy god game style of campaign and its loads of fun.
