The Baldurs Gate brainworm has merged with the Bridgerton brainworm and now regency meets fantasy is filling all the holes in my head.
So regency assassin AU? Less illithid takeover, and more so political subterfuge I think. Maybe a certain wizard nerd walks in on her assassinating this patriar. Who’s to say? 👀
Bg3 but it’s country/western fantasy and Raphael has a handlebar mustache, and my character is a dual hand crossbow wielding ranger/bard multicast and OF COURSE the House of Hope battle is the exact plot of the song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”.
Me and my cats Hazel and Basil in different animated universes because I love them and know that no matter the genre I will be their crazy cat lady mother.
The Dark Urge x Jaheira relationship has a special place in my heart. Especially with redemption durge. I think for characters like Visera(my durge) and Astarion, they can have a certain resentment for the heroes of this world. When you’re a monster made to carry out the will of an unforgiving master, the idea of heroism seems like a joke. I think the High Harper is the best example of a hero. She could have killed Durge the second she discovered what they were, but she didn’t. Even when she’s present for the conversation with Gortash and everything is revealed, she still has faith in them.
All the thrill of romances aside, I really believe that this relationship is the most important to my durge.
Visera the Dark Urge confronts Orin the Red after she kidnapped a certain explosive wizard of hers.
Quote is from the Green Goblin in Spider-Man (delivered wonderfully by Willam Defoe). Another case of “I heard this clip on TikTok and thought immediately of BG3”
This is actually inaccurate to my game because she only ever takes Lae’zel. Gale is always with me. Forever and always.
“Wouldn’t it be funny if this night was the last time we ever spoke to each other?”
Bojack Horseman quote that I think works with my DUrgexGale angst. Two former chosen made playthings by the gods they worshipped. Neither can see a future for themselves beyond self sacrifice, and neither think they deserve to be loved by the other.
“Even gods can die, after all. Those who worship death should remember that above all else.”
Death and Divinity: A Godly Guide
Maybe post credits my Durge decided to accept God Gale’s offer of divinity, and MAYBE she uses that divinity to take on three godlings that won’t leave the mortals alone. Maybe Withers high fives her after.
Still mad Withers won’t let me raise the magical orphan Arabella. I want a Last of Us style parent/child relationship for my DUrge, especially the part where Arabella learns that the hero created the cult that led to her parents deaths.
